George Bush-bashing celebs have joined forces with Moveon.org on a new series of campaign commercials.
The celeb-studded spots feature the voices of Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Martin Sheen, Rob Reiner and Ed Asner and star Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Woody Harrelson, Illeana Douglas and Margaret Cho. Janeane Garafalo hosted Tuesday night's kick-off at Hammerstein Ballroom, billed as "10 Weeks: Don't Get Mad, Get Even!"
Howard Dean, Kevin Bacon, Edie Falco, "School of Rock" director Richard Linklater and Al Franken fired up the faithful.
Musical guests included The Roots, Natalie Merchant, Moby and Perry Farrell, who joined forces for Jane's Addiction's "Idiots Rule," in honor of the incoming Republican National Convention.

Bring it on!
If they could see themselves, they'd realize that they look like a DUI suspect acting like a total ass, all caught on video. What morons.
I'm surprised that the Post didn't mention this -- they didn't even sell 2000 tickets for this event at a 3000-seat music hall. Think about that -- in the heart of liberal land, with all these wonderful lefty icons, and they couldn't even have a sellout?
Hmmm?
They could be porno stars. Maybe not. Jenna Jameson's new bio is more compelling than of the political junk peddled by the Hollywood Gang. Their new line of work bears an uncanny resemblance to that of America's most famous sexpot.
Q: What's the difference between Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham?
A: About 40 lbs..
Cute.
>>>>>>DUI suspect acting like a total ass, all caught on video<<<<<<<
LOL....nice take.
What is this suppose to do anyway? Are there actually some buck-tooth cross-eyed Jerry Lewis Nutty Professor looking doofuses out there who actually say to themselves; "Duuh...Janeane Garafolo says I should vote for Kerry, so uuuh...dats whut I`m gonna do! Uh huh Uh huh..Yuck yuck yuck duuuuuh" There just can`t be. This is like taking political advice from your dog, although I would say the dog would have a lot more integrity.
Moby - a friend of mine met him once and asked him if his real name is Richard, why did he choose the Moby part of the book title and not the other half? lol! It`s true, Richard -Dick..His real name is Richard Melville and he`s a direct decendant of Herman Melville (so he claims), so how did he come to "Moby"? Wouldn`t just plain "Dick" have been more fitting considering his name and personality? "Playing tonight--DICK"
Many of these damn Hollywood types are either guilt-ridden idiots or brainwashed fools who never really had a "real job" in their life. They have been baptized into the Hollywood fraternity of the left. They have a deep seeded need to "belong" and have no real grasp of the issues. They take talking points from the likes of Asner, Reiner and a few others and become nothing more than parrots on the shoulder of a fallen ideology.
They are rank opportunists who will do anything to get ahead in Hollyweird.
She's probably hard up for work, with her singing in commercials for evil captialist credit card companies or car companies.
My animal companion, Roswell the Atomic Poodle, is a staunch Republican and he takes exception to your remarks. His barks, growls, and occasional whimpers are far more relevant and comprehensible than the deranged fulminations of these Hollyweird sociopaths.
Wher is Mr. Kerry's displeasure at these 527's. Is he still whining for Bush to call off the Swift Vets?
Kerry's quote to Bush:
"Bring it on!...Make them stop!"
That's my favorite headline on the Swiftvet mattter yet.

Hollyweird and their obsession with phallic symbols (gag).
They tried to book the Devil but he was on tour in the Middle East.
I see the ususal suspects are there and...Rebecca Romijn? Since when is that no-talent idiot into politics? Since her movie career is a joke and she needs to make new friends. What a sell-out half wit. John Stamos did the right thing by ditching that phony. She could get a threesome going with the ever-so-obnoxious Marxist Margaret Cho and Janeane "Blame America first" Garofalo. I will have much satisfaction when this all bows up in their face.
Yes, she is a "serious" actress now don't you know! LOL
All the B and C list celebrities that want to be invited to the so called "A List" parties in Hollywood all become left wing political activists.
They are all so pathetic and are like a bunch if kids in highschool trying to get along with the "in" crowd.
BTW, how effective do you think MOVEON.ORG has actually been? I know they get a lot of money and attention but have they really won a lot of races for the Dims with their attacks on Republicans and/or conservatives?
Archie Bunker was spot on with his evaluation of the meathead, both the character he played as well as the actor himself.
Dumbest POS in town.
I had this really irresponsible boyfriend. I was having such a bad time in my life, and my lost fame kept coming up as the reason why ... and I got pregnant, and I had to have an abortion, so I went to the doctor to have an abortion, and I'm having the abortion, and the doctor said, "You know, when you had your TV show, it really didn't capture who you are as a comedian. And I think if you go back and do it again, that you should really strive for more creative control." And I said, "You know what? That's fine, but could you just kill my baby?"
What a charmer.
I haven't heard of over half of them.
Son of Sam took advice from his dog and look where he ended up.
How about truth in advertising, here? There's no boobs on this thread at all. Jeez.
It never ceases to amaze me how wonderfully tolerant, sensitive, and compassionate liberals are. I mean, they're just so open and accepting of differing viewpoints, so willing to engage in civil and rational debate with others who may have differing opinions. They're just so inclusive and celebrate diversity in such an uplifting manner...
(/sarcasm)

Rob Reiner in his next role.
(Sniffle) Gosh, that's so sweet (sob).
That's pure Hollywarped.....make political decisions on where (or what) it can get you.
These people are a bunch of weaklings..........no backbone.......so unprincipled..

Maybe you're right....
Janeanne Garofalo, Matt Damon, Martin Sheen, Rob Reiner, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, and Woody Harrelson are indeed high-wattage intellectuals whose IQs tower way above most forms of vegetation.
Whose grandmother Helen Gahagan Douglas was defeated by Richard Nixon in the 1950 race for the US Senate, in California.
Where's a terrorist when you need em? Oh wait they were all gathered together.
In Apollo 13, Kevin Bacon played John L. Swigert, the one who replace Ken Mattingly. Swigert, in real life was a Republican who ran for and won a senate seat from Colorado. He died of cancer before taking office though. Alan Alda is going to play a Republican in the West Wing. What is it with Whorellywierd types? If they are going to play on of us, become on of us and learn to do it the right way.
That must be the reason the no-talent horseface got into movies. Either that or she BJ'ed a buncha Hollywarped producers......standard practice in Hollyweird to get movie parts.
LOL! Looks more like golden tossed salad to me.
"Alan Alda is going to play a Republican in the West Wing."
Of course, this means that his character will have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. That's the way libs play conservatives.
Really? Where was this event???
LOL! The grandmother was also in the movies, and the grandfather was Melvyn Douglas.
This says the grandmother was among the 10 most beautiful women in the world. She's the one who called Nixon Tricky Dick, and he called her the Pink Lady, because she was a leftist.
I guess the granddaughter took after the Douglas side...
Okay, I really should NOT be looking at their pictures but still...we know that Woody is no stranger to the Evil Weed yet he isn't the one who looks like he's S T O N E D.
And another thing...isn't Margaret Cho a Lesbian (and devout Socialist)? What's up with the "Boyfriend was dumping on me" schtick? These bozos really believe that their grandstanding will boost their careers or else they wouldn't be involved at all. Delusional...all of them.

Cho...Che...hey, maybe the DUmmies won't notice.

Helen Gahagan Douglas.....not so hot looking.

I saw a pre-fame Natalie Merchant many years ago when she was singing with 10,00 Maniacs at a small club in Richmond. Between the limpness of the music and her hippie-chic persona (barefoot, twirling her long skirt on stage while singing), I had to honk down a lot of beer to make it to the headlining act! She's the last person on Earth I would take political advice from.
No, not by then! Must have been in her earlier years.
You kidding? The early ones on the net were horrible.
This one was about the best.
