Tonight on PBS, David Gergen was saying this is going to be dangerous for Bush.

The whole time he was talking, I was thinking to myself, this is the man who swore up and down that he KNEW Sandy Berger and Sandy Berger would NEVER take documents out of the Archives.

David Brinkley hasn't said much has he. Buchanan should tell Brinkley to release Kerry from that "exclusive access to Kerry's journals" contract. That would destroy Kerry's excuse for not releasing them

Note the upper lip sweat on Brinkley.

It depends on the meaning of what "seared" is.

Oh, Douglas is having a hissy fit; it's not OUR fault Kerry lied to him!

Brinkley: "shrapnel in the arm is only a bit away from being shrapnel in the eye and that would have left him blinded".

That sounds so much like a mother saying "don't run around with those scissors, you'll put an eye out".

I was listening to the Big Story today and right at the end they had Major Garrett on. He was talking about how (concerning the 1st PH) 9 days after the incident which got Kerry his first PH, That they were leaving on their first patrol and they were cocky because they hadn't been shot at yet.

He said he ask the Kerry campaign for a comment about that and then he said that the Kerry people said it was possible the first Purple Heart was given for a un-intensionally self-inflicted wound.

I almost fell over, I'm sure that's what he said but Who knows if it was "misquoted" or not.

Anyway I just wanted to throw that out. Did anyone else hear that?

"oh, Dole's first Purple Heart was for a minor possibly accidentally self-inflicted wound, he's just like Kerry"

True. But deserving of the PH because it occured in the "heat of battle." Kerry's self-inflicted wounds did not, so arguably he did not deserve the PH's, and thereby, his early ticket home.

Oh, now it's Gardner who is mad at Kerry because Kerry says Gardner killed a lot of people and Kerry chewed him out?

He says "oh, Dole's first Purple Heart was for a minor possibly accidentally self-inflicted wound, he's just like Kerry".

The question here isn't "did he get a boo-boo?", but who wrote it up.

Tonight on PBS, David Gergen was saying this is going to be dangerous for Bush.

Translation: Gergen hopes that there will be some backlash, desperately hopes that there will be backlash.

Brinkley looks and acts like a nervous wreck.

Brinkley now tosses out the ol' "he's a conservative" charge against SBV Gardner.

Kerry was busy as a bee writing up spot reports to get himself medals asap so he could wing home, run for congress and chase rich, stupid women. There aren't words to describe Kerry. I wonder what TerAYsa's eldest son thinks of the Swift Boat Vets' accounts of Kerry's Vietnam exploits? I suspect he saw through Botoxboy years ago.

You misunderstood what Garrett said; he said that in John Kerry's OWN journel, 9 days after the "incident" where Kerry got the 1st PH, Kerry wrote that they hadn't been exposed to any enemy fire. But I did hear him say that about what the Kerry campaign said; that's the first I've heard of that!
