Don't worry. . .took it as it was meant to be. . .just friendly banter.
"The Navy. . .it's not just a job. . .it's a silly job"
"The Marines. . .looking for a few good men and a couple hundred thousand dumba$$'s"
"The Army. . .be all you can be. . .clueless and pathetic"
How's that for stirring the nest?
Cheers!

He HAS to be a puppet master's stool pigeon--on direct orders from the cabal to prop up SKERRY.
I do have one niggling concern, though.
SKERRY IS SUCH AN
AWFUL
HIDEOUS, TRAITOROUS CANDIDATE . . .
Either the evil left really ARE IDIOTS TO THE MAX or
they are setting up Bush for some sort of devastating fall after the election in some sort of massive campaging/war? to replace Constitutional government by blaming some list of horrors on Bush and/or taking him out in the process.
I mean, why would any rational people with brains above that of the microbes on a slug's arse even imagine such a horror story as SKERRY as a candidate?
Or are they THAT insulting about the SHEEPLE'S capacity to paty attention and even notice how awful SKERRY is?
Sigh.

Kerry's real strategy to make America stronger? Huh? Has anyone heard specifics on this?

Found this

Retired Gen. Merrill "Tony" McPeak, the former Air Force chief of staff who endorsed George W. Bush in 2000, has left the Republican fold and is backing Democrat Howard Dean in the 2004 race for president.

"He's not a novice in international affairs, these are not simple problems, they are complicated problems." Like Kerry's "complicated" votes, where his vote against is really a vote for? Yeah, that's exactly how he'd run the military, if he ever gets that chance.

My husband served 20 years in the USAF, and he DESPISED this man. He was a horrible Chief of Staff. He made ridiculous policy changes while in office, the worst being making military personnel wear uniforms resembling an airline pilot. He was an idiot, and truly despised by those under him. He had no concept of the common airman, and lived in his elite world typical of a senior officer out of touch with the troops. He screwed up training, it took younger troops longer to be qualified, almost a year longer to be able to work on their own, causing problems in procurement. He micro managed the Air Force beyond belief, and they were glad to see him go. It figures someone who ranks right up there with Weasly Clark in the respect area would back John Kerry.

Maybe that's why I left. That and a personal feud with my First Sergeant over security procedures.
When you mutually agree with your 1st Sgt. to hate each other he wins.
Kinda.
I have a great job still supporting our troops and their families and last I heard he was removed before his 20 years (and he was a fast burner) and was a janitorial supervisor. The job is above him.

Thanks for the info. Now, if McPeak were a Republican, the Times would do a smear story about how he was despised by the servicemen.

I've talked to a lot of Vets who have similar stories about Clark. I guess those who make bad choices in the field make bad choices even after retirement.

Lets be honest about McPeak...his rein of leadership was the darkest and most comical period of the last 30 years in the Air Force. By the time he left, he was a joke throughout the entire organization. Whatever he says today....will change tomorrow. The only absolute thing you could depend upon when this guy showed up...was change. Any change...was authorized...no matter how stupid or how short-sighted. He opened the front door and has bred hundreds of little McPeaks now...whose whole career is based on how fast they can change things.
As for what he gets out of this deal...it can only be a special advisor job or secretary of defense. If he becomes the secretary of defense...prepare for at least 20 generals to retire during the first year of the Kerry legacy (four short years). McPeak will become a bigger joke than before. And the entire military will suffer because of him.

Another perfumed general, more at home behind a supply desk than as a battle leader.
