Did anybody notice that more Bush bashing came in when the president stepped in to assess the Hurricane Charley situation? I heard a number of prominant Democrats imply that his intentions were nothing more than politics; and yet if he ignored the situation, they'd be the first to say that "he didn't care"!? Something is not right here. It seems to me that bashing the president has gotten so out of hand that many who do so, do it without using common logic. It almost makes me wish Bush would win, just so that the bashers would whine some more. Just shows that the other side is never happy. They can't even take pride in their own "acheivements".

P.S.-Somebody needs to tell Woppie Goldberg that she looks like Bob Marley; only she has more facial hair! (Little joke)
Very Little.
Welcome to FR, newbie.
The Z-Word
7 minutes to read to kids was way to LONG.
48 hours to enter FL to personally review the situation was way to SHORT.
See!
Bush can't win (except with yours and mine votes).
Do YOU feel the power?
What makes you think President Bush won't win?
ClarkErikMcCallister, we hardly knew ye...
"Almost" don't cut it here, troll.
As we southerners are known to say, I speck you won't be here long. Bye!
ZOT? - Could be my first
I think if it's going to be the newest national 'sport', then there should be some sort of rules, and teams, competitions, and playoffs, etc. Maybe if they concentrated on just one-upping and beating the other teams, then we could get the real news and facts into the newspapers and on the so-called 'news' programs on air.
But of course: Bush bashers hate everthing about the president (and I do mean everthing!) and will criticize him for everything he does; or if he doesn't do something, criticize him for that.Such criticism deserves to be utterly ignored.
A little slow over at DU this afternoon? Zzzzzzot
It WILL be.
:o) Right On
Not so fast on the troll thing. Check the history....Here, I'll make it easy for you.

And Clark, welcome to Free Republic. We're a tad jumpy lately as we've had MORE than our share of trolls. Hang in there. Ya look OK to me. :-)
I agree that the president is likely to win, but muslims (inside the US and abroad), Brits, Canadians, and Euro wimps encountered in chat rooms, are convinced Kerry is as good as in.
Almost, eh.......
That's interesting.....
FWIW-
We may have a possible convert here, one thing for sure, if he's a Democrat, he has noticed not only his own party's hypocrisy, but that of the media. Hope this is a trend.
Then how do you explain this comment of his: "It almost makes me wish Bush would win."
all right Ill hold off - darn :o(
...maybe
Hmm...Considering Clark has not checked back into the thread ... My Trollonator is registering "stuned."
Did you go to the other thread?
You are a Kerry supporter I take it? We don't get many Kerry supporters here...
Dude, get BACK here and start talking! Looks like I'm (nearly) your only advocate...don't make me look dumb.
Yeah, I read it. But I'm talking about what he said on THIS thread. .....and I see you're incapable of explaining it.
I'm still trying to figure out who Woppie Goldberg is.
Just leave him alone. Check in the next few days.... see what he posts. He could be a I'm voting for Bush...three days later....I'm not sure I'm voting for Bush....10 days later....I'm not voting for Bush-he's not conservative enough heres why troll or he could be legit. Who can tell?
Nahhhhh.....not incapable. I think I read it differently than you.
But hey. Me? I'm still waiting for him to show up again.
If not? I have egg on my face and will admit it.
Almost?
There's nothing new about Bush bashing. It started in June 1999.
Never admit...to anything. Deny, deny...if all else fails blame it on your cat. That's my policy.
Dear Editor:
The following items are from just one days letters to the editor in the Forum on August 18th. Various authors assert about Vice President Cheney:
Tricky Dick Cheney, (is) court jester to King George
Lies about Iraq WMD...lies about an Iraq-al Qaida connection, or remaining on the Haliburton payroll, or his declarations about the need for a drill and burn energy policy, or his crony capitalism
Is the invisible man
Is involved in illegal practices in the name of money and power
Serves the interests of his wealthy business partners
Create(d) the huge oil industry profits at our expense
Is a chicken hawk
All the court jester can spew is kill, kill, kill
Caused broken promises, bankrupt national economy, being hated around the world, and being in the crosshairs of al Qaida
I count five instances of name calling and at least eleven unsubstantiated accusations.
It is sad to see the once proud party of FDR, Truman and JFK consumed by hate. I hope that after the election season they find some love in their hearts and helpful policy positions for America.
Sincerely,
Brad Cloven

Im still waiting to split the kill with mojo - back to work
What's new about Bush bashing? It's been going on non-stop for 5 years. It's gotten WORSE lately, yes, but it's not new.
He said that he "almost" wants to see Bush win just to get the whiners to whine even more. The way I read it was, even leaving aside all the other reasons to want Bush to win, the simple pleasure of Schadenfraude would be enough to root for him. I rather agree with him there.
I agree with the other posters who have noted that the Zot triggers are a bit too happy lately. Understandably, given the high level of troll activity, but at the same time nothing will turn actual converts off quicker than unjust accusations.
Qwinn
Most of us want him to win because he's the best man for the job. I share your offense at the out of control Bush bashing, though.
You might want to reply to your thread Clark.
Will you tell me a story?
I keep trying to figure out the "strategery" behind the Bush bashing, do they think that they'll just wear out the Republicans and Independents to the point they will just vote for Kerry so that the whining will stop?

Two days...... two posts...... two vanities....
Yes, the President is in a no win situation with a lot of what he does.... It's a be damned if you do and a be damned if you don't.... But he does seem to pay that no mind and tries to do the correct thing, imo. Like you I hope he wins only mine is more than 'almost hope'....
If you are gonna hang around it maybe that you'd like to review the following... good luck and have fun.

I don't have a cat.
May I use yours? :-)
Should we adjust our beebers down to faze from stune?
Hmmm. This can be interpreted in several ways. You almost hope he would win... but not quite? Grammatical faux pas (that's French), or a Freudian slip?
Uh.....nice try, troll.
Don't feel bad. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt unless they're obvious trolls too. Especially this time of year. After reading a post like that one, I'm inclined to think "kids, out of school, perhaps they've heard of us in the chat rooms and are trying to get a real dialog going because they want to get to the truth"
Well, looks like maybe and I repeat MAYBE I stepped in some doo doo, it's time to wash off my shoes and move on.
You know, get stuff done.
Clark, Clark...wherefore art thou?
