Ok you guys. Lets be fair here. If you are going to really have a fair discussion on the subject and your TRUELY care about this country and our progress get your heads out of Hanity's butt and refer to this information:
The number of bills that bear your name is a poor measure of legislative accomplishment. For example, Ted Kennedy, who most would acknowledge as the most accomplished Democratic Senator in a generation, has had just 9 bills signed into law in 10 years. Of the more than 400 bills Kennedy sponsored in 108th, 105th and 104th Congresses none were signed in to law. And Bill Frist, the Republican Majority Leader, has sponsored 88 bills in the 108th Congress and zero have become law. In the 107th Congress, Frist sponsored 52 bills and 1 became law. It was a bill to authorize and urge the President to promote democracy in Zimbabwe.
He and John McCain negotiated an agreement with Vietnam to provide a full accounting for POW-MIAs.
He wrote the first bill reducing acid rain.
He has repeatedly led the charge in protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling.
He has passed legislation that shut down money laundering activities of terrorists and drug traffickers.
President Clinton Praised Kerry for Putting 100,000 COPS on the Street When we tried to get past six years of talking tough on crime but nothing happening, rhetoric and rhetoric and rhetoric and no action, to put 100,000 police on the street, to ban deadly assault weapons to pass the Brady bill, the other side, [the Republicans] led the fight against it. But John Kerry helped us pass the toughest, smartest, best crime bill this country has seen in many a day, and the crime rate has gone down for four years in a row. John Kerry was on the right side of history. [Public Papers of the President: Fall River, MA; 8/28/96]
Democratic Leader Tom Daschle Says Kerry Knows How to Get the Legislative Job Done in the Senate - Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle had kind words for John Kerrys work on Campaign Finance Reform when he asked Kerry to chair the Democratic Steering Committee: "From our teen-smoking bill to HMO reform and Campaign Finance Reform, John Kerry has demonstrated that he clearly knows how to get the job done. He is a valued and trusted member of our leadership team, and I am pleased he has accepted another term as Chairman of the Steering and Coordination Committee." [Daschle Press Release, 11/19/98]
Even Dr. Bill Frist, Senate Majority Leader Says Kerrys Global AIDS Legislation is a Huge Step Forward: The Kerry-Frist bill is a huge step forward, said [current Majority Leader Bill] Frist. It further validates U.S. leadership in the global effort to end devastation many countries face in the fight against HIV/AIDS. [Office of Senator Frist, press release 7/12/02]
57 bills and resolutions John Kerry has sponsored over the years have passed the U.S. Senate. Countless others have been improved because of his work, including the Clean Air Act, the Childrens Health Insurance Program and the COPS program.
John Kerry has taken on the special interests and won.
He fought against Newt Gingrichs anti-labor and anti-environmental regulatory reform.
He has fought to raise the minimum wage.
He has worked to shut down wasteful corporate subsidies.
And John Kerry played an important role in the effort to reach a settlement with the tobacco companies that ended marketing to children and teenagers.
You wanna talk career achievements? Let's talk Bush...
1) Drunk 2) Failed businessman (Arbusto Energy) 3) Got daddy to get him into the weekend warrior Air national guard where he went AWOL 4) Again, daddy got him his position as governor where he had one of the worst records in history 5) He rode to the presidency on daddy's shoulders where he couldn't even win that right. Stole election via the Supreme court, overriding the tradition of federalism and states rights.

In the Senate, he authored a Children's Health Initiative for children in working families through subsidized vouchers that allow easier access to private health insurance

Kerry believes that the myth that all tribes have become rich from tribal gaming needs to be dispelled, so people are aware of the over 350 tribes that are stuck in poverty.

Here's a list of bills sponsored and co-sponsored by Kerry...from 104th congress (1995-1996) Kerry has sponsored or co-sponsored over 2200 bills and events:
Here is a link to all the sponsors and co-sponsored bills http://kerry.senate.gov/bandwidth/issues/legislation.html
Plus, he's such a liar it's pathetic.
Finally, just because he's the biggest dork I've ever seen in my life he should never be president. What a booger headed looney tune Kerry is.
I got this far before my gag reflex kicked in. Zot bait.
That is as far as I needed to read.
Is there any more a moronic way to influence people than by insulting them? What a dipsh*t!!
Too bad you couldn't stick around.
Heck, he can't even be truthful about his own face or hair color.
You forgot one - 2004 Liar of the Year.
Kerry is a traitor. Period. End of subject.
In fairness to you, Dan, Peter, and Tom have exactly the same problem. ;)
I read this article before I didn't read it.
Good. Your work here is done, you can go away now.
He only got involved with that because he intitially thought it was the Good Hair act.
You'll forgive me if I vote for GWB on election day. Thanks.
And all this time I thought it was the humidity. Well, better Hannity's butt than Colmes... Ewww!
Only for the ones that don't have their brains sucked out!
Lookie here Zot.
That makes him God?
Be Seeing You,
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Zot you in the morning..
Zot you in the evening..
Zot you at supper time..
Was he/she/it zotted for it's comments or it's post. I find nothing very offensive about posting Kerry's "accomplisments" as dismal and socialist as they are. Clearly it was a rabble-rouser but still this is the first comprehensive list of Kerry's record that I have seen.
You forgot he has 3 purple hearts
>>>> He has repeatedly led the charge in protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling.
Based on FALSE SCIENCE, this bill ensures our CONTINUED DEPENDANCE on FOREIGN OIL and REDUCES NATIONAL SECURITY.
The rest of the garbage you list shows him as a liberal, america hating socialists who panders to special interest.
If you are trying to help effing, go to the DU where they will SWALLOW ANYTHING!
Ted Kennedy, who most would acknowledge as the most accomplished Democratic Senator in a generation
Accomplished at what, MURDERING young women and stayinf out of jail??????
Wow! Are you ever in the wrong place! YIKES!!!
Its not it's. Dang, now the punctuation police are going to go after me, too.
Look for the union label. John will do what he's told and like it.
He should definitely trumpet this, again and again.
Tell it to Mary Jo!!
Lovely cut-and-paste recitation of the DNC fax!
Isn't Microsoft WordPad wonderful?
>> He and John McCain negotiated an agreement with Vietnam to provide a full accounting for POW-MIAs.
Which never happened. McCain and Kerry performed little more than a coverup.
>> He wrote the first bill reducing acid rain.
The Clean Air Act, the cornerstone of environmental law, was signed into law by President Nixon, over a decade before Kerry became a senator.
>> He has repeatedly led the charge in protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling.
What a dunce. America's economy requires oil, and yet Kerry is in bed with foreigners, in particular with the Saudis.
>> He has passed legislation that shut down money laundering activities of terrorists and drug traffickers.
Bad example. Republicans have always been at the forefront of drug law enforcement.
>> President Clinton Praised Kerry for Putting 100,000 COPS on the Street
Far less were actually "put on the street" with this con-job. All Clinton and Kerry tried to do was federalize all law enforcement, a dangerous precedent.
>> Democratic Leader Tom Daschle Says Kerry Knows How to Get the Legislative Job Done in the Senate
Only a fool would believe anything Daschle says, so you are a fool.
Frankly, sonny, everything you wrote is spin. Get a real life.
Like Planned Parenthood, Unions, Environmentalists and trial lawyers? What did he win? a cookie? The only reason he argued for a hike in minimum wage is because of unionized workers.
He fought against Newt Gingrichs anti-labor and anti-environmental regulatory reform.
Kerry fought and lost. I think he even voted against welfare reform.
"From our teen-smoking bill to HMO reform and Campaign Finance Reform, John Kerry has demonstrated that he clearly knows how to get the job done. He is a valued and trusted member of our leadership team, and I am pleased he has accepted another term as Chairman of the Steering and Coordination Committee." [Daschle Press Release, 11/19/98]
HMOs are a Kennedy creation and CFR is a disaster. What job did Kerry get done? His only function as a senator is to vote in the senate and he can't even do that this year.
I noticed how you left out Kerry's foreign policy. I bet even the most ardent Kerry supporter can't figure that out.
Likely a retread beeber, previously banned & stuned.
It kinda looks like somebody has written all over the bathroom wall again.
"He wrote the first bill reducing acid rain. "
And now his actions are increasing stomach acid. This affects me daily and I don't appreciate it.
He's not a leader. He doesn't even run his own campaign. He has no major legislative accomplishments. He is nothing more nor less than an empty suit.
I couldn't help but notice your lack of literacy, the only exception being your obvious cut-and-pastes from Democratic handouts or websites. Come back after you've graduated elementary school and we'll talk.
