On August 6, I sent an email to Don Carmichael, General Station Manager of WBAY, Green Bay, WI, protesting their "pulling" the Swift Boat Veterans ad, exposing Kerry's lies about many of his VietNam "recollections".
I just received a response from Mr. Carmichael stating that "WBAY is accepting the ad". I KNEW you could do it Green Bay!! It just isn't right to go all spineless up there in the land of Vince Lombardi!!!!!!! Fer cripes sake!!!!

Mnay of us sent letters to WBAY General Manager Don Carmichael protesting his cowardice in the face of threats by Kerry's lawyers.
What is important for you to do is to keep an eye on WBAY and make sure that they follow through and run the ad. Please report back in a day or two and let us know that you have seen (or know of) AT LEAST two airings of the swiftee's ad.
If we can jump down the station manager's throat for caving in in the face of threats, we need to also email/call/write tham back to express our appreciation for their decision to support the First Amendment and present the facts - ALL of them - and let us decide.
We don't want to be known as "Rabid Republicans" we want to be known as polite, thoughtful people who appreciate both sides of a story/Issue so that we can decide for ourselves what the truth is.

WGBA (channel 26) is running the ad. Saw it aired during the 6 PM local news. It's the first time I've seen the ad aired but I don't watch alot of TV. Let me know of any ongoing letter writing campaigns to any of the other local channels, I'd be glad to help.

I wrote back and thanked him for his "fair" handling of a subject viewed as "sensitive" to many for many different reasons........and that these brave men, deserve to have their side of the story heard.
Cubreporter, actually, I was born up near Green Bay, I get back there quite a bit, and "fer cripes sake" must have been one of those old phrases that filtered over through the St. Lawrence Seaway.......that's how alot of immigrants came West.......I've heard it, in various "morphed" varieties, all my life!!
Thanks to everyone who wrote and emailed the TV stations, maybe by now you all have gotten the same email!! BTW, there was a station in Ohio, (I think) that said they were pulling the ad, at about the same time the WI station did.......does anyone know what became of that????? I'm sure there are alot of FREEPERS in OH and surrounding viewing area who gave them a piece of "advice" too!!!!!??
