As you point out, most Americans identify themselves as conservatives and that is a matter of fact. Saying otherwise over and over again doesn't make it so. Characterizing how Americans feel "in their heart" is a telling statement. Not all Americans are ruled by their emotions as liberals are. Most are capable of employing logic and rational thought, and understanding the implications of history, all of which are beyond the scope of most liberals.
