The libs never have the guts to actually put themselves out there amongst the rabble and run for office. It'd be beneath them. Reagan, Grandy, Sonny Bono, Fred Thompson, George Murphy...they had the honesty to say to people, "This is what I believe. I ask for your vote." Most libs are satisfied carping from the sidelines. The only ones I can think of are Ben Jones and Helen Gahagan Douglas. You'll never see Streisand or Baldwin or even Affleck actually campaining for themselves. Their egos couldn't handle losing.
