Well said; feel free to repeat again when necessary!
Unluckily, that line was part of the original lyric, as sung by Roy Orbison. One of the VERY few things for which Americans cannot crime her (her butchery of Jackie Wilson's ''Higher and Higher'' is forevermore unforgiveable.)
Best wishes to you, mate!
Or, as Ms. Ingraham expressed this view in the title of her book: ''Shut Up and Sing''.
In short, if you're an entertainer, then ENTERTAIN, damn you, and to hell with your political views, whether leftist, rightist, or centrist.
Rather too complex a notion for you, I daresay.
Oh, good grief...chill out. Some of us get her late in the day, and actually get to see articles that are reposted. I've been homeschooling, shuttling to karate and cleaning all day -- this article was the first I've heard of this.
piffle
People have walked out of performances for as long has there have been performers...Some were booed, jeered, things thrown on stage...Once hooks were used to pull a bad performer off stage.
I would not do that to a performer having a bad day...I would quietly slip out if possible.
If a performer is bent on combining his political views with his performance, people can express their displeasure by walking out...People were outraged at her statements..
People are passionate about some things...She expressed hers and they expressed theirs.
If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen...
We had a great thread going here..just FYI.
Ditto!!!
Vegas Casino Boots Singer Linda Ronstadt
LAS VEGAS Singer Linda Ronstadt not only got booed, she got the boot after lauding filmmaker Michael Moore and his new movie "Fahrenheit 9/11" during a performance at the Aladdin hotel-casino.
Before singing "Desperado" for an encore Saturday night, the 58-year-old rocker called Moore a "great American patriot" and "someone who is spreading the truth." She also encouraged everybody to see the documentary about President Bush.
Ronstadt's comments drew loud boos and some of the 4,500 people in attendance stormed out of the theater. People also tore down concert posters and tossed cocktails into the air.
"It was a very ugly scene," Aladdin President Bill Timmins told The Associated Press. "She praised him and all of a sudden all bedlam broke loose."
Timmins, who is British and was watching the show, decided Ronstadt had to go for good. Timmins said he didn't allow Ronstadt back in her luxury suite and she was escorted off the property.
Ronstadt's antics "spoiled a wonderful evening for our guests and we had to do something about it," Timmins said.
Timmins said it was the first time he sent a performer packing.
"As long as I'm here, she's not going to play," Timmins said.
Ronstadt had been booked to play the Aladdin for only one show.
Calls to Ronstadt's manager were not immediately returned.
In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal before the show, Ronstadt said "I keep hoping that if I'm annoying enough to them, they won't hire me back."
Looks like she got her wish.

"Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." -- U.S. Constitution, Article IV, section 3Anybody that gives aid and comfort to our enemies during time of war is guilty of treason, no exceptions. That includes Fonda, Kerry and Michael Moore. They are, by very definition, traitors that have committed treason. And by defending their treason, you have elected to join their ranks.
Be gone troll.

People have opinions....They express them different ways...Do you think they are not trying to use their power as a performer, with people all sitting there listening, to convince adoring fans their opinion is correct?
They have the podium, the fans,an audience...I have the choice to not buy their records, pay to watch them perform or pay for their books..That's why libraries are good.
You would have us be politically impotent and give all the power to the performer...These people have influence on those who read entertainment articles or liberal publications and little else..."If Linda says it, I love to hear her sing..so she must know more than I do politically"..
They can ask hard questions, study the policies and form opinions, donate, be very vocal... If they want to go public like Linda has in her concerts...let her sing to the choir and give her Moore kudos to the ones who love it....Don't drag people into it not there for a political event...
One very vocal leftist actor was complaining bitterly about the political critics suppressing his speech...He was giving this talk at the National Press Club on National TV..enough said...
What he meant was we have no right to boycott his movies and stop giving him our money through ticket purchases or rentals and indeed we do.
Obesity.
