You have the sane comment of the thread.

amazing how many conservaties hate Martha for her poltics and want the legal system to punish her for listening to her broker.

If her name was Martha Jones and she was a mid-management nothing she would have never been charged.

Ain't it the truth. The taxpayers have lost untold amount just because she's famous.

She wouldn't have been charged at all if she hadn't lied to investigators.

As always the coverup is worse than the crime...

I also started the same type of letter 2-3 times, but never finished it. Now I wish I'd actually sent one.

Oh, it's rough. She can only leave the confinement for 48 hours and only for medical, religious, or 'necessities.'

lol

FIVE months in prison, five months house arrest and two years probation.

She should complain? NOT!

$30,000 fine with a $400 additional assessment...

The judge has given Martha Stewart the choice where she wants to spend her house arrest.

Martha will get to wear a nice little bracelet in her Bedford home.

Big deal...she can go out for medical, religious services and shopping for necessities.

Big deal!

She won't have to pee in a cup for drug testing.

Not too shabby. She may leave for medical, religious reasons, and to shop for other necessities up to 48 hours per week.

Hi, AM, perhaps you could add the sentence to the thread title so that people won't keep creating new threads.

Thanks,

They'll probably start a reality show now: "Behind Bars with Martha" or something like that. It wouldn't be any more inane than the other bilge they try to pass off as entertainment these days.

Yes. But, Martha was offered a 'deal' months ago. It was something like a $30k fine and 6 months probation. She declined. She has been a "B" during the early investigation, etc.

She brought this on herself. She should consider herself lucky that this is the worst she got.
