Why is it that so many lefties sport those cheesy little beards and wire-rimmed spectacles?

He said that was an honest mistake, and the wrong picture was displayed. Didn't you believe him?

There is a local gas station that serves sushi. Granted, most of them serve fried chicken, potatoes and sub sandwiches, but there is at least one that serves sushi.

Yes, those are Kerry's daughters. I was thinking the same thing; however, don't you think that USA today of liberal media fame would have picked the best one?

But in reality, I think Barbara Bush would take care of the situation directly. I would not want to get on her bad side.

Oh, I think Poppy would be MUCH worse on the press than Bar. He LOVES those girls, as he does ALL his grandkids, and would definitely come to their defense in a big way if any pressitute decided that it was OK to trash them just because they happen to be out on the campaign trail.

That was my point. That exchange at the Wash. Post made no sense at all.

My lawd: based on that picture, between the two of them you couldn't muster up a five. They look like they're getting ready to attend the Salem Witch Trials---as the accused.

I'm a little annoyed..no, irked is a better word..by this whole thing with the Bush twins...so I thought I'd throw it out for discussion..

1. Why was Vogue chosen for the debut spread..the mag...and its editors..are against everything Bush stands for...there wer NO other choices..

2. All this talk from Luara Bush about "sheltering and protecting the girls..that "they didn't choose this career"..they're 22..college grads..we've got 18 year old female HS grads fighting and dying in Iraq..this is only politics..

There is a local gas station that serves sushi.

That's really odd. "Free California roll with fill-up."

I can't believe this guy considers soy lattes, sushi and mexican food to be by products of an elitist up bringing. For crying out loud. If they were drinking Cristal Rose champagne everynight and eating beluga caviar with mother of pearl spoons on top of a big ole piece of sauteed foie gras it'd be different, but most of us spend more money at freaking Red Lobster on a Friday night than these girls would on Sushi, mexican food and starbucks. Give me a break.

Daughters of Frankenstein.

I know we can't help the general way we look, but the one on the left could use a major makeover. She does favor her father quite a bit.

The Bush girls are MUCH better looking than them!!! If the Johns can be petty, and say they have "better hair" let's reply with "So what, we have better looking girls..."

"But 24 hours later, you just have to say it was a moment, time passes, and you hope you didn't embarrass your father."

I don't think so, honey, and don't try to say that it was the fault of the flashbulbs, because your headlights were on hi-beam and you knew that when you left for the party! All it would have taken is one look in the mirror! As for hoping that your Dad wouldn't be embarrassed, don't worry, I don't think he's capable of it; you are clearly not!

Rush called Chelsea a dig...

Is that like a nig... <:/Blazing Saddles mode>

Seriously, you're right. Making fun of one's physical appearance is tacky. Actually, Chelsea is looking pretty good these days.

I saw Julia Reed with Vogue on MSNBC today (she used to be with Newsweek and I like her--most freepers will know who she is). She is the person who interviewed Barbara and Jenna for that magazine.

She praised the twins to the skies. Said they have their parents' best qualities; gracious, mature, poised. She was surprised how composed they were considering it was their very first interview plus a fashion shoot for Vogue.

She made it clear that the twins stated that campaigning for their father was their own idea and he was so pleased and touched that they would join his last political campaign ever.

Incidentally, later they had the Style editor from the WaPo on (Robin Givhan, I think), and she, too was pretty darn complimentary.

Of course we know newspapers have separate factions.
