Even if she wasn't a traitor, you'd have to question the wisdom of using Whoopi Goldberg as a spokesman for a diet and beauty product. She still fat and she's butt ugly.

Send Slim-Fast COMPLAINTS here...

I wrote to them already. I just read the email a friend of mine sent--she added something I wish I'd thought to include:

"I no longer have an appetite for SlimFast. Every time I look at something with the SlimFast logo on it, I think of what Whoopi Goldberg said and I feel nauseous." Something along these lines might be good to include in your letter of protest. Food companies just hate it when people lose their appetite for one of their products!

My wife and I drink it all the time. Not for weight loss but it makes a great healthy lunch on the go and doesn't leave you feeling heavy like after a full lunch. I'll be switching to the Wal-Mart Equate brand as long as 'Whoppie' is their spokes person. SlimFast will hear from me.

What the heck? I just sent this:

After Whoopi Goldberg's shameless hatriotic display in New York shilling for the anti-American John/John ticket, I will no longer buy any of your products while she remains your spokesperson. And forcryinoutloud...don't you want someone to speak for SlimFast that actually looks like the product works?

Re: Whoopi Goldberg
I use your products several times a year when I want to take off some quick weight. However, I cannot support your company as long as you have this woman as your spokesperson. While you pay her, she represents you. She did not do you well the other night. It's a free Country, you feel strongly about her, go ahead and keep her on. Your business will go down. I guarantee it. I'll find another product to use as will everybody I speak to. This just wasn't Whoopi giving her opinion as a US citizen, this was a crude, drunken tirade. Can you imagine what this country would be like if nobody was help at all accountable for the inappropriate things they say and do because they are celebrities? It's your choice, it's who you want to be as a Company. I wish you good luck with your decision.

"Following the recent behavior of SlimFast spokesperson Whoopi Goldberg with her profane and disgusting performance maligning the current President of the United States, I would like to ask SlimFast to reconsider their choice of spokesperson.

Such activities and base behavior is unflattering to any company's product, and has made me seriously reconsider any support I may show for your product. Should Ms. Goldberg's representation of your products continue, the image of SlimFast will become even more tied to her profane, obscene and hateful political rhetoric.

As this is quite insulting to me, a supporter of both the President and SlimFast, should she remain as your spokesperson, I will be forced to reconsider my patronage of your company."

My read of SlimFast ingredients is that they are
overly focused on low-fat, are protein-deficient,
and are thus too far from 30-30-40 "balance".

Balance Bar and Zone Perfect products might make a
more effective alternative, entirely apart from the
issue of unpalatable spokespeople.

My submission:

"Thank you for having Whoopi Goldberg as a spokesperson for your product. Since weight loss is the primary goal of SlimFast, having an ugly, obnoxious, foul-mouthed anti-American traitor-slut as your pitchwoman has many times caused me to lose my appetite, not just for food but for SlimFast as well. I couldn't have reached my weight-loss goals without you. Thanks again."

Here is my message to Slim-Fast:

I have been a faithful user of SlimFast, and although it has performed as advertised., I am writing you to tell you that I will cease buying your product as long as Whoopi Goldberg is your corporate "face". Her comments at a recent Kerry fundraiser are beyond the pale. I have several issues with the President, but if I had a public personna as Ms Goldberg I would measure my comments knowing what that personna is. Free speech is fine , and a protected right, but also words should have consequences. She is free to say as she likes, but I am also free to spend my money where I like. Free speech is fine for people like Ms Goldberg when they are speaking, but when an opposing view is stated, suddenly free spech is not so important. And so to reiterate, I shall not be spending any of my money on SlimFast as long as she is your corporate face.

Regards,

I hear slimfast profits were already down 25% because of the Atkins.

Democrats must be completely out of their minds allowing Whoopi to get within 500 feet of the door to that fundraiser, much less invite her on stage to speak.

They have terrible judgement.

Here is a copy of our email sent to Slimfast: "We are outraged by the filthy language and hate filled comments made by your TV spokesperson, Whoopi Goldberg, against the President at a recent Kerry-Edwards fund raiser. Please be advised that we will be boycotting your products as long as Whoopi Goldberg is your TV spokesperson. We are also encouraging others to do the same by email and on internet sites. It would seem that your management would realize that many of your (maybe now ex) customers fully support President Bush in the war against terror. Your company management may agree with Goldberg but we would think that it would make good business sense to fire her and find a more suitable person to represent your products."

Any and all entertainers or opinion leaders who engage in hateful and vulgar political rhetoric in a public forum should be gone after with a vengence in terms of their careers and/or products they peddle. This includes anyone who uses their celebrity to push an agenda outside their area of public expertise excepting ideological spokespersons such as Franken, Limbaugh etc. These people live privliged lives that mistakenly lead them to assume that their larger "worldview" is somehow meaningful to their fellow citizens. Ignorance is not the special province of the masses; it is evident in the elites, particularly the entertainment elites who gain their position by your financial support. I will guarantee you that if everyone who has problems with hateful outspoken celebrities would take the time to go after them en masse, there would be many fewer--but more cautiously thoughtful--celebrities around.

The Chairman of Slimfast, Daniel Abraham, is a huge Hillary supporter and major contributor to the Democrat Party and politicians.

I would boycott Slimfast on that basis alone, but it stands to reason *why* he would choose the fat and ugly Whoopi Goldberg as the product "spokesmodel".

Even prior to her most recent tirade, I questioned the wisdom of Slimfast to have used Whoopie as a spokesperson and representative for their product. Bad choice.

To me, she has always been gross....gross in her demeanor, language and outlook on life. What company in their right mind would want her associated with them? Her face next to a product automatically sends the wrong message. She represents all that is crude, tasteless, and vulgar.

She is good for dieters, however.......because when you see her, you sure do not feel like eating!

My letter to Slimfast and Unilever (their parent company)

To Whom It May Concern,

I have used your company's product for several years to combat my never-ending nemesis of "swivel-chair spread." Slimfast has been, or shall I say was, the quickest and best way I had found to take off a few pounds at those times when my trousers became too tight after weeks of wretched excess. Your product has worked and worked well for my purposes for years.

However (and isn't there always a however?), I will no longer be using your company's products due to your hiring of the "comedienne" Whoopi Goldberg as your company's spokesperson. Ms. Goldberg's offensive and hateful diatribes against the President and those young people in the armed forces of the United States do neither her nor your company any credit. I cannot continue to do any business with a company that would retain Ms. Goldberg's services in any capacity.

I have raised my children to understand that the foul-mouthed, hateful profanity that Ms. Goldberg spews on a regular basis is not an acceptable "family value" in my home. Your continuing to retain the services of Ms. Goldberg in any capacity makes it impossible for me and my family to do any further business with your company.

Please consider dropping Ms. Goldberg as your spokesperson at your earliest convenience. Until that happy day, no Slimfast (nor any other Unilever product) will make its way into my market basket.

Sincerely,

Mine:

Whoopi Goldberg exercised her freedom of speech to profanely disrespect the President of the US at a democrat fundraiser. Though I do not agree with the President on every issue, I think displays such as Whoopi's harm the reputation of my country. I will, from today forward, exercise my freedom of choice and choose one of your competitor's brands-one whose public representatives do not embarrass me.
