You mean otherwise law-abiding people like these?:
"At one point the crowd of about 30 people blocked off the street as three large white vans pulled up to take away the immigrants. One person threw a rock at police and struck a squad car."
About a dozen officers lined up shoulder to shoulder and cleared the street as the vans departed.
In my "If I were king" world, those officers would have rounded those people up and had the INS process them. Wonder how many more illegals they'd find? If nothing else, I'll warrant you wouldn't see any more Mexican-flag-waving bozos throwing rocks at police cars.
Why did the cops show up with lights and sirens? That was brilliant. Did they arrest the people throwing rocks? Are they allowed to these days?
Why would anyone publicly profess allegiance to a third-world dump like Mexico?
And why aren't those people at work, performing the labor "Americans are too lazy to do"?
The beheaded children in Baltimore recently were because their parents hesitated a little too long before paying up.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've wondered what became of that case.
These were children brought by a "coyote" who then murdered them because the fee wasn't paid ?
The other local paper was trying to get protesters to show up and moan and whine about the raids. They had a march planned to protest what should have been done 10 years ago.
It was their father's own brother --- the kids' uncle and a cousin who cut off their heads and the reason apparently was that they were the smugglers of the kids and the parents didn't pay up fast enough. Smugglers are part of the vicious drug cartels and they don't mess around with those who won't pay.
About a year ago a little boy was kidnapped while playing outside with his little friends in Ciudad Juarez. Five men kidnapped him, holding him for ransom which his father --- a refrigerator repairman --- didn't come up with fast enough so he was quickly murdered and his corpse dumped in an arroyo --- it turns out one of the kidnappers and the killer of the little 9 year old was a Mexican policeman. It doesn't do any good to call the police in Mexico because they are usually connected with the kidnappers.
He'd make a fine Vice President for Mexico or he could hold a cabinet level position: Minister of Corruption.
This is extremely disturbing.
What reason do we have to think that this kind of crime won't get a foothold here ?
"Follow the money" and who has it more than Americans ?
Kidnapping for ransom is already gaining a foothold here --- there have been several incidents so far with Mexicans being held here by their smugglers against their will until their families pay the ransom. It's fairly easy with illegals of course because supposedly no one knows where they are being held, their families are helpless in Mexico to do much about it and there is a tradition there of not getting the police involved because someone inside the police department will tip off the kidnappers that you ratted so your loved one will be killed. They are victims but anyone with enough money to hire a smuggler in the first place has access to money. The penniless illegals cross on their own without hiring a smuggler.
