It must have been a very tough week for Bill. None of the many things for which Reagan was praised would apply to Bill.
Principled, no he was pragmatic/flexible.
Dignity and respect for the office? No, he was getting Monicas.
Loving relationship with wife? No, Hillary.
Foreign policy triumphs? No, just bombed aspirin factories.
Leadership? No, just following polls.
Famous (tear down the wall) speeches? Well, there was that "I did not have sex with...
Great foreign leaders eulogizing him? Can't think of any unless N. Korea or China.

My guess is that Clinton was sedated by his doctor.

used to fall asleep in church

I remember reading a bio of Ben Franklin. When he ran away to Philly and was attending the Quaker services, the Quakers
would have guys prowling the aisles, whacking such dozers with long sticks to awaken them.

Pity the Episcopals didn't follow suit.

Say, did Clinton have his Bible?

During Howie Carr's show yesterday, his producer defended and made every excuse in the book for the Clintons.
Guy calls up and asks: "Can you repeat that? I was resting my ears."

I just wish Barbara Bush had been sitting by Beelzebubba so that she could have rolled up her program and hit him or pinched him like our Moms used to do in church. Of course, if she had, all the other x-Presidents there would have pointed and laughed at him while trying to hide it from Barbara (just like we used to do to our siblings in church).

You mean Prince Charles was also sleeping? If so, might have been jet lag, you know. It gets me something fierce.

Janet Reno? lol

It's going to take a lot of therapy to get that image out of my head.

I'd love to see that photo on the front pages
of every newspaper in America and overseas!

Prsident and Mrs. Ford are looking at the the little schedule of ceremony that was given to folks in attendance.

At first I thought Gerald , because it sorta looks like he is focused at that back of Klintoon's head, was thinking...
"I could snap that b@$tard's neck right here and now and nobody would care"

Jet lag's a real killer! No matter how many trips
to Australasia (22+ straight hours in the air), I've
never been able to be myself for at least a month.

The woman behind Hillary is former First Lady Betty Ford, I believe. That's certainly Gerald Ford beside her.

Drudge will usually acknowledge his use of a FReepers post/pic by mentioning them during his Sunday night radio program.......mind you, it won't be during the 1st hour when he's only brodacsting on WABC, but at 10:00 pm, when he goes national!

I'm taking the tongue out of my cheek now....

Reno's puss? Perish the thought. Glad she didn't
show up. Madelaine not-too-bright was there. UGH!

To: Use It Or Lose It

Save the pics of them for when Hillary runs for
President in the next election after this one,
or for VP in this one.

I wrote this for another thread, but you might like it:

First, Beelzebubba, who will probably die of syphillis or from burns sustained from telling so many lies that his pants actually do catch fire, will be taken to the autopsy room, where it will be confirmed that he has no heart, no guts, no conscience, and an abnormally enlarged ego. Then, he will "lie" in repose (only appropriate since "lying" and, er, "laying," is how he spent so much of his political career) on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with his casket straddling the sidewalk spots of Alec Baldwin and George Clooney. After that, he will be flown to Little Rock, where Fidel Castro, the Chinese Premier, Jack Chirac, and--in a rare appearance--Osama bin Laden--will all pay their respects. "This Land is My Land, This Land is Your Land," the popular folk hit by pinko Woody Guthrie, will be performed by the Dixie Chicks, followed by Joan Baez singing "Blowing in the Wind." Barbara Streisand will round out the musical tributes with "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing...." Madonna will then read from the Kabala, and then a passage will be read from the Qu'ran by Danny Glover. Finally, Al Gore's friend from the Buddhist Temple will round out the readings. Okay, somebody pick it up from here.

Yes, that's Betty Ford. Poor Lynne Cheney drew
the short straw and had to sit next to the rapist.

The Iron Lady, words were read

Gorby knew what he was going to be in for. However, I thought her words wounded the ego of would-be rabbit battler.

I heard that at least one station (WRKO, Boston) dropped Limbaugh's "coverage" in favor of the Fox link, after Limbaugh said something.

I gave up on the Limbaugh (Clear Channel) station when they went to the "hard" breaks for news. The more local station
(Ingraham, O'Reilly) did not break the ABC supplied coverage.
