According to a special I saw on the History Channel, the Parks and wildlife Dept. says there is no more suitable rock on Mt. Rushmore for a scupture of this size.

Yes, You are right. The rock is too fragile to even allow people to get up on top, unless you're Tom DA$$HOLE getting special priveleges to reward campaign donors..............

I think I saw that show, too.

Wasn't there originally to have been another face there to the left of Washington?

There ya go again. No faith in the American people. See one news report and you belive it. Next you will be telling us there is no way to bring inflation rates down, that the days of low interest loans are over forever.

There are other mountains to carve.

I did not say other mountains, that is certainly doable. But the inn is full at Mt. Rushmore.

This one won't fit on the mountain either, but the Park Service can this picture to the doormats of the latrines.

Also, in the Pentagon they have a "Hall of Presidents" in a certain corridor. There is a section for each President all the way back to Washington, along with a brief history of their use of military force.

The spot next to GHW Bush seemed to be the last spot left on the corridor. The only spot remaining was adjacent to a men's room in the corner of the hall.

Has anyone who works in the Pentagon seen this lately? Did they put BJ's next to the bathroom?

I always thought that would have been fitting.

Relatively feeble photoshopping. We see much better here.

There originally was another pose of Washington further to the left that had to be removed due to rock instability. The sculpter, Gutzem Borglum, had to redesign the faces several times to accomodate the rock surface.

True there is no suitable surface to add Reagan. Besides the environmental impact statements and other red tape that would be required today to add on to the moniment would take years if approval would ever be granted.

South Dakota is a beautiful place and has some great people in spite of Tom Daschle and George McGovern. Come up and see Mt. Rushmore--you will be impressed.

I think a fitting memorial would be something in his name that could cruise the world to keep peace and blast the enemies of freedom into smithereens. Something like an aircraft carrier...oh, yeah, well...

Actually, X 42, Damien, has his picture on a urine cake in the men's room.

I was just trying to be humorous. As usual, it did not work.

I'm quite sure you are right that the rock there could not hold up the weight of Reagan's image, especially in addition to the weight it carries from the other images there.

Now an image of Carter, that they could easily pin up.

I don't think it would be appropriate to position Reagan to the left.

I bet that Clinton would fit easily. Since he's so full of hot air, weight wouldn't be an issue.
