Well put. The rarified air in those Ivory Towers does lead to a tendency to hubris amongst the leftmedia. And pride goes before the fall.

Reminds of of that Washington Post reporter (can't remember his name), who, after Nixon's victory in 1972 stated increduously, "How can Nixon have won? I don't know a single person who voted for him!"
