The only thing, at this time, that high gas prices do is to increase the cost of every product that is bought and sold in this country because of our distribution system in this country. High gas prices will affect us all and make inflation not only a minor but a major concern. Our fuel consumption has not increased nearly the amount one would think based on the raising rates for fuel.
No, The Democrats were stating that they did not want to have back door deals so close to an election....

Read that as, if Bush gets the Saudis to cut oil prices then the Democrats will have to conjure up more dead voters to win the election.
Sorry, I have a little more faith in the election process than to think that that would happen in Democratic areas only! I think both dead democrates and dead republicans vote!
I beg to differ. The Democratic Party has raised more dead people than Jesus Christ (I apologize for the blasphemy).
Point taken- Neither side however is clean
First of all, I am all fro Drilling in ANWR but we all must understand that the oil projected to be there would only supply the United States for just over six months.
Therefore, drilling in ANWR would have little if any impact on domestic oil prices and we will still be Dependant upon OPEC.
ANWR is not the Answer.
Ask the first Mrs. Kerry about broken promises.
