"If the movie does not do well at the box office Pitt is toast as an actor!"

That's complete baloney, my friend.

As long as the vapid quisling supports Hollywierd's Liberal-Socialists/Communists he'll always have work.

I'll bet $5,000 US that that's been a promise made to each & every one of the losers Hollywierd's been shoving down our throats for at least the past 10 years.

My "evidence" being the nearly total absence of conservatives in motion pictures, today.

If there're conservatives in Hollywierd -- & granted there are a few -- they're in the "closet" if they want to work.

Mel Gibson's success might just change some of that.

...but that also remains to be seen, too.

Who plays Helen?

DOC BOONE: "Is this the face that wrecked a thousand ships, And burned the towerless tops of Ilium? Farewell, fair Helen.

"I'll have to admit that since I love Greek Mythology"

You may be disappointed in Troy, then, as they leave the Greek gods out altogether.

I prefer manly men such as Mel Gibson and Sean Connery.

Me, too. And they just get better as they grow older. I do love Brad's voice, though. Mmmm. Never been a fan of Tom, amazed my friends in high school when I failed to swoon over him in Risky Business.

I seem to remember a quote from Brad Pitt in the past that made him ok in my book. Perhaps someone can verify if this is truth or urban legend.

At some Hollyweird function, a reporterette asked for his opinion on some political matter. His paraphrased response was... "Who gives a F*** what I think, I'm an actor"

If true, he has my respect regardless of his leanings.

"I get the impression that there will be a buggery component to the plot somewhere."

The ancient Greek males considered having a young boy lover as SOP. The whole angle of Achilles' "friend" Patroclus is a homo erotic relationship. In fact, I'll bet the movie leaves that out and only plays it under the surface.

Hugh... he is all man! Saw Van Helsing last night... it was a cheesy, b-movie romp of special effects fun. No outstanding acting, plot, or political statement- just entertainment.

it worked in LOTR. and even SW... but a "historical movie"? i mean, Gladiator didnt have CGI armies, and it conveyed it well enough for me.

this thing just looks retarded though.

brad pitt is a decent actor. if this movie tanks he wont suffer any damage.

hugh jackman on the other hand... what a POS cartoonish lump of sh-- movie he was just in.

I always feel bad for actors when they have to shill for garbage movies on the late nite tv show circuit. well I dont really feel sorry for them, but its pretty sad

i dunno... with the liberties these yancies in Hollyweird with information, we may as well expect the cast from Stargate to come tumbling in and negotiate a weapons-trade treaty for Brad Pitt's head.
