I know that this is their home, but I haven't for the life of me been able to fathom WHY anyone would live in such a dangerous place.

If mom had been armed I don't know if that would have helped. She may have been able to take out a bad guy or two, though.

Unfortunately in this case, she was vastly outnumbered and would have been out gunned.

Israel is home to a lot of people, and many will never leave for the same reason many people will not/never leave Zimbabwe and South Africa. It's sad all around though.
