"I don't own an SUV," Kerry claimed Thursday in Houston when a reporter ruined the senator's holiest of holy days, "Earth Day," by asking whether he owned a Chevy Suburban.

You must finish that with....but ....my Family owns a Suburban...

Talk about a complete ass!!!

Since Kerry is so loved by foreign leaders and preferred by the Islamists, as well as being the populist champion of the working class, and according to him loved by the vast majority of Americans, perhaps Kerry should demonstrate his lack of concern for his own well-being by driving around in an ordinary car without armor or armed agents.

I mean, all the bulletproofing and guards aren't necessary for someone who is going to restore America's place in the world as a loved, respected nation, right? It's only the eevil Bushistas who have to be guarded from the people, right?

Isn't that a Maryland tag on the back of that SUV?

Can't tell. But that does not look like one of the armored SS Surburbans I've seen. See this link. It has some photos I took of "W" passing by after the shuttle service he was at in Houston. Look down the page. There are also some interesting pics I took after the shuttle accident. Some are of the flowers I took over there from all of us Freeper types.

Most motor vehicle registrations can be accessed by the public in some manner..... either by tag number, name, etc. In Kerry's case they maybe registered to a business or some organization rather than the family members...

Several companies offer for a fee access to motor vehicle registration data..... Example

The number looks like '018M157' to me.

I get either that or '01BM157'

and it's not

(month on right, different style, color of lettering, no slogan at bottom)

It could be

except for the absense of centre shield.

In any case it looks like some civilian DMV plate from somewhere.

A Purple Heart plate?? How Common: "Do you folks have a plate with three purple hearts on it??"

Nah. After your third Purple Heart the state just give you a plate with a single Purple Heart and a bronze oak leaf cluster.

"As agents in Kerry's protective detail fanned out around his armored Chevrolet Suburban, anticipation filled the air among those in the vicinity. A worker across the street hosing down a sidewalk stopped to see the reason for the commotion.

A waiting TV crew and several photographers raised their cameras to their eyes. Drivers stuck a half-block down in rush-hour traffic craned their necks to figure out why they were stopped. And the agents scanned the crowd, alert on the balls of their feet, their hands at the ready in front of their waists."

"One minute went by. Two minutes. Three. Kerry sat in his SUV talking on his cellphone. After five minutes, the Massachusetts Democrat snapped his phone shut and motioned to his detail leader that he was ready to emerge."

Kerry Disowns His SUVs

Kerry at least has a sense of proportion.
Lenin even owned a Rolls-Royce (IIRC).
