I just read that Moratinos (Spanish FM) is now saying, after his meeting with Powell, that Spain may send its troops to Afghanistan. They probably won't, of course, once the Muslims put a little more pressure on them.

Personally, I think Spain's dissolution is approaching - I suspect that by the end of the Socialist mandate, there will be three separate states, and possibly a civil war going on, to boot. To say nothing of Morocco swarming across the Straits.
