I have a pretty nice espresso maker and I guarantee it packs more caffeine into a demitasse cup than I can get in a very large cup of regular coffee.

But Turkish coffee has more than either, by far.

First they came for the tobacco smokers, and I said nothing, because I didn't smoke. Then they came for the Big Mac eaters, and I said nothing, because I don't eat Big Macs. Then they came for the coffee drinkers...

I bought proper coffee gear just so I don't have to fund Starbucks. I captured my ROI in about 90 days.

They have really good milk foamers at the Wire Wisk for $15. You just microwave the milk for a minute and pump it thru the screen inside the foamer and it's so foamed you could float a quater on top.

BTW, left over espresso is also great on ice cream, in iced coffee, and for use in baking. Never discard leftover espresso.

It would be easier to ban lawyers than caffeine and sugar.

OK, let's have a post-athon continuously while drinking espresso.......We'll bore the pants off the forum, but let's see who can stay up the longest? No ritalin or Adderall either! That's cheating.

I can drink four shots of espresso and go right to bed and be asleep in three minutes. But maybe I'm dain bramaged?

Seriously though, my wife(who's a genius chemist person in industry for twenty years) proved it to me. We even used a mass spectrometer and gas chromatograph for analysis.

Espresso just tastes like it's super coffee.

More fun to ban the lawyers than coffee or Big Mac's too!

Especially if I get to round em up for the banning......

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
It is by the Beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed,
the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

That was my first thought also. I've never heard of Gloria Jean's coffee.

I checked your link and, alas, the closest store to me is too far.

I wonder if they franchise. I could be rich, rich, I tell ya.

Coffee makes you pee out loads of calcium, which your bones leech out in order to process the caffeine.

In light of how osteoporosis is today's health 'crisis', I'll betcha anything that BIG COFFEE will be the next target of the trial lawyers in the coming years.

I'm kind of embarrassed. I called their number and found out that the store has been in the mall closest to me for the past 11 years and I never noticed it.

I used to work at a place where they had an Acorto espresso machine in the kitchen. I'd down three or more absolutely delicious hazelnut lattes every day, warm liquid candy down my throat.

I stopped when I started getting heart palpatations.

Hmmm, that is a little unobservant of you, lol.

If you don't mind, go sample some at your convenience and give us a review on this thread. I'd be very interested to read it.

My espresso is so full of caffeine I can't drink it past 7:00 pm or I'll be up all night. It is much higher in caffeine than my drip coffee.

Thats not quite true,Drip in general has more Caffine. What kind of Espresso drink do you have?

I fail to understand why people swear off caffeine, unless they personally have a bad reaction to it. I also don't get decaffeinated coffee. That makes about as much sense To me as non-alcoholic wine or beer or no drowsiness sleeping pills.

Yeah? Then why do I get all buzzy and wiry and my lips start tingling after I pull a few shots of espresso? Doesn't happen when I drink my normal autodrip.

THis is all kind of apples to oranges though. Only at starbucks is a small called tall and a medium called grande.

And if you read your Folgers can it says to use 1 tablespoon per 6 ounces of water. I was taught to make coffee with three scoops per pot, period. Make according to the instructions and it's going to be pretty strong.

Bottom line, they took away my beer, they're workin' on my cigarettes, and they're not gettin' my coffee away from me.
