Univision holds its ground, despite fire from homosexual activists.
Univision, the nations largest Spanish-language television network, is standing by its new talk show, Casos de Familia, despite criticism from homosexual activists. On March 25, the show topic was curing homosexuality with religion.
We broadcast quality programs that present an objective and balanced discussion of such issues as race, culture, gender and sexual preference in a responsible way, said Univision statement.
I hope they hang tough, said Robert Knight, director of CWAs Culture & Family Institute. Most broadcasters dont have the courage to withstand the kind of lobbying that homosexual activists inflict on their targets. To them, tolerance is a one-way street from which you can make only left turns.
Former homosexual Stephen Bennett cheered Univisions stance.
I am not only glad that Univision stands behind the broadcast, but that they used the term sexual preference over sexual orientation in their statement, Bennett said.
Thousands have walked away from homosexual desires to lead healthy, fulfilled lives, he said. But that news isnt often told because radical homosexual activists try to punish anyone or any organization that suggest it. To have a broadcast network air such a program and then defend it, rather than couch it as a grave mistake when challenged, is rare and brave.
In the broadcast with conservative religious leaders, hostess Judith Grace made several comments that the radical homosexual pressure group Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) criticized.
Would it be that all [homosexuals] have been abused, hence their sexual preference? Grace said.
Lets stop our relatives from touching/abusing our own children so they do not end up like this, she added.
GLAAD immediately launched a campaign to pressure the shows advertisers. Pizza Hut had already pulled its advertising from the show.
Other advertisers in the crosshairs of homosexual activists include Sears, Universal Studios Hollywood, KFC and Hersheys.
The news that homosexuals can change is one of hope, Bennett added. And radical activists will stop at nothing to keep that message from being heard.

Slightly off topic but, if I go to a store around Christmas time and they don't have noticeable Christmas decorations, I will take my business elsewhere. If Pizza Hut isn't on the right side of the ex-gay issue I can find another pizza place.
IF it were true, I am sure that most homosexuals would endorse it. However, efforts to "change" homosexuals into heterosexuals have only affected actions, not thoughts, and is as meaningful as saying that taking an oath of celibacy "cures" someone of being heterosexual.
You are basing your statements on the presumptions that: A. Homosexuality is inborn and therefore unchangeable, like race or sex. B. The normal and natural state of being attracted to the opposite sex is in every way equal to the unnatural and inhealthy state of being attracted to the same sex.
Just the first one, I don't completely agree with the second, and thus my logic isn't really based on that.

I'm working on an update as time allows.
We even have a Mexican Pizza Place out here, Pizza Patron.
Even if what you said were true, consider this ---
My father in law once told me that seven years after his last cigarette, the urge for nicotine still "called" to him on occasion. So then, would we be justified in putting quotes around "cured" when referring to his ex-smoking habit? Would it be false to refer to him as an "ex-smoker"?
Suppose someone considers himself an "ex-adulterer" because he has managed to remain faithful to his wife for many decades now. But suppose also that pretty women still catch his eye: Can we therefore confidently inform him that he remains an adulterer because the thoughts are still there even if he does not act on them?
Is an alcoholic always an alcoholic - even years after his last drink - if the urge to imbibe still hits him on occasion?
What is at issue here is embracing a deviant practice as morally equal.
All sins have a lustful power, from gluttony to sexual deviancy. A glutton has food cravings which need to be tempered...well...that is, in order for him to enjoy true health. To teach the glutton contrary, that over indulgence is his only option, is to enslave him forever in his unhealthy sinful behavior.
The homosexual humanisms teach all that they MUST celebrate their every urge as natural and equal. We shouldn't buy this false teaching for a second. It is God who has taught me better than that! I did not learn it on my own and such false teachings have not built our Nation.
Homosexuality is one devilish decadent indulgence among all the other vices and to think that anyone can be a wanton consumers of his lusts and still remain an equivalent moral member of society is pure crap.
However, efforts to "change" homosexuals into heterosexuals have only affected actions, not thoughts, and is as meaningful as saying that taking an oath of celibacy "cures" someone of being heterosexual.
That's untrue. From where did you get this information?

In such a meaningless existence, the only purpose is whatever instant gratification can be found, and why have any restrictions on same?
Yeah, the step into secular materialism often starts philosophically with something like the darwinian "creation" story and it ends with a person who is devoted to his own appetites.
Isn't this the only "logical" option? [without any knowledge of God, that is] Logically the blind [those without any knowledge of God] will become Epicureans, devoted wholly to their own sensual pleasure, within certain "reasonable" bounds of course.
And if you look at who we have become as a society of late, the balance of our population is teetering very closely to the majority operating out of pure self interest.
Only God can rescue us from this body of death preceeded by as much sensula pleasure as we can take, as I'm sure you know LJ. We need to be praying for our Nation and working with people locally, that it/they would see its/their sin for what it is and repent.
