Former President Bill Clinton last week told the September 11 commission that he never admitted passing up a chance to have Osama bin Laden arrested -- even though his words were caught on tape, NewsMax.com reports.

Former Sen. Bob Kerrey, Nebraska Democrat, revealed the Clinton denial to WDAY Fargo, N.D., radio host Scott Hennen for an interview set for broadcast today, NewsMax said.

Disappointing that NewsMax didn't have the foresight to ship this tape to the 9/11 Commission and the RNC leadership weeks ago. Two years ago.

I've contacted the committee repreatedly over the last year, offering to send them a cassette copy of the tape and directing them to NewsMax's numerous audio links featuring the Clinton quote. The committee spokesman never expressed an interest in my offer.

This disinterest in such a critical issue is a scandal in and of itself.

A suggestion: You could begin a series, an exposé, on this disinterest by the 9/11 commission to learn the truth about clinton's culpability...

You could contact the committe daily (or weekly) and follow each contact with an article in realtime, documenting your effort and the committee's disinterest...

Its not the Clintons and their sleazy behavior that disgust me-its the 40+ million people who voted for the SOB twice and still think he was a great guy. Its also the Democrats in Congress who didnt have the personal integrity to resign or at least speak out while these serious transgressions were taking place. The United States will be suffering fallout from the Clinton years for years to come.

The problem here is that the media don't give a rip if Clinton lied; this is of NO interest. The only thing that would interest the media would be a lie, or an apparent contradiction, from within the Bush team. This would engender endless analysis and criticism, but a lie from Clinton? Yawn.

Not really. It's what we've known about the media for years - Republican wrongdoings resonate with the media's operating mythology; Democratic wrongdoings don't - they rarely get "legs" with the media. So "Losing Bin Laden" was virtually ignored by the media, whereas Richard Clarke's book is treated as holy scripture.

I'd be willing to bet that over the years you've contacted many in the Washigton circles trying to get them to look at stuff and never got any response on that either.
What makes you believe now would be any different?
