I was thinking the same thing.  You could print up a list of Patriots in hollywood and keep it on a tiny card in your wallet.

I checked out the list. Wow. What does one have to do (or not do, as the case may be) to get on that list?

Two of them on the list surprise me - Hugh Grant and Jim Carrey. What did they say or do to be included? Of course, some aren't on there that should be...Kirsten Dunst and now Kevin Costner, once a Republican until he found out it wasn't cool! Sylvester Stallone used to be one too but Clinton won him over it seems. The depth of these people makes it easy to switch back and forth without much thought at all...

I really expected to see Tom Hanks on the list. I like his movies (except Philidelphia), but the company he keeps is rather suspect.

I'm always amused when I hear multi millionaires, like those on this list, whine incessantly. They have no more interest in "We the People" than any other group of ultra rich.

The only difference is they have a sense of self loathing that comes out whenever the topic is politics.

From Ralph Nader arriving via limo, to Babs Streisand's contributions to beach erosion, they live in a cocoon of ass kissers, syncophants, and PR managers.

In short, they are victims of self inflicted brain damage, not unlike anyone that receives a law degree.

Make one little statement that can be misconstrued by an overly-sensitive conservative with no sense of humor. Mister "support our troops" himself, Robin Williams, is on it likely because of one little joke.

Dunno... some of those people have participated in USO shows. They cared enough to actually help the best way they knew.

Maybe those don't like this or that policy, but "Anti-American" seems a stretch for some.

To get on the list, most of these celebs either joined anti-war protests, signed letters of conscience condemning US actions to protect itself, or made outlandish statements against our country while abroad, etc. Several have even gone as far as wearing the despicable U.N. "Friends of the UN" Peace pins to certain events like the Oscars...(no bother with an American flag pin, that would be so bourgeois).
Of the list, only 2 (Affleck since removed from list) have even bothered to go to the ME on a USO tour to entertain the troops.
That says alot about where their loyalties lie.

Jim Carrey---
From 2003:

Meanwhile a consortium of actors is planning a silent but conspicuous war protest at Sunday's awards ceremony. Dustin Hoffman, Michael Moore, Jim Carrey, Julianne Moore, Ben Affleck, Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Maria Bello, Kirsten Dunst and Selma Hayek will sport Artists United To Win Without War pin badges.

A statement by the group read: "Due to the widespread anxiety now being felt over current world events and the consternation expressed by some involved with the awards ceremonies that inappropriate political statements may mar the upcoming presentation, Artists United to Win Without War has chosen to announce the creation and distribution of a 'peace sign pin' that can be worn by anyone who chooses to use it as a silent statement of opposition to this unnecessary and inappropriate war."

Hugh Grant-- NION Signee

http://www.marchonhollywood.com/roll_grant.shtml

Hugh spent the entire time at the London Evening Standard Film Awards (Feb 2003) browbeating fellow "artists" into signed a British version of the NION lying Ad to appear in a British newspaper. One renowned and world famous British actor retorted with a muscular Anglo-Saxon insult.

This esteemed artist is one of the unconscionable signatories to the Not In Our Name statement organized by the well-documented COMMUNIST front organization ANSWER. This organization is led by one RAMSEY CLARKE - a publicly known defender of countries who murder, torture, repress, starve, brainwash and imprison their own citizens - such as NORTH KOREA.

care to provide some proof? So far we've found 2 celebs who have gone on USO to Iraq...Ben Affleck and Robin Williams.

We removed both from the list as a result, but Williams has since continued his attacks on President Bush.

In Williams' case he was doing a promo for a movie and made that "he has the receipts" joke about Saddam's WMD. That was much more tame than Leno, who is not on the list. Williams always supported the troops. He even played DJ for a radio show for the troops during the Gulf War, doing his comedy in between the songs.

I've been looking for a place to post this. Did anyone hear the guy who filled in for Mike Savage a few weeks ago. Don't know who he was but he had something to do with Hollywood. Anyway, he had Bruce Boxleitner on the show and Bruce was saying how lonely it is to be a Conservative in Hollywood. He says he believes the only reason they even put up with him is because he's married to big time liberal Melissa Gilbert. It was very interesting.

Whoah dude, Carlos Santana? What the hell were you thinking? Last year Santana gave free concerts for our servicemembers stationed in Europe. It was a big deal there, and the concerts were packed. Take him off!

I have a feeling he's only up there for some comment, or he is exercising his constitutional right to have political differences with the President.

sorry, he stays. Telling concert-goers in Hong Kong that he condemns American action earns him a place on the list. You can buy all of his records, we're not telling you what to do, just informing others who feel as we do. These people will not see a dime of my money.

Carlos Santana's anti-war message late Saturday at a Hong Kong rock concert.

Ten songs into his 90-minute performance, Santana asked the crowd for 30 seconds of silence to condemn President Bush's foreign policy, the English-language newspaper The South China Morning Post reported.

"We are the other side of America," Santana was quoted as saying before an audience of 13,000 people. "We do not go along with George Bush. We are here to accentuate peace and compassion on the planet. God bless humanity."

Streisand Attacks Bush on Lack of Terror Preparations
By Charles Mahaleris
Talon News
March 30, 2004

HOLLYWOOD (Talon News) -- Actress, singer, and left-leaning activist Barbara Streisand belted out a new round of attacks against President Bush, this time criticizing what she calls a lack of effort in combating terror before September 11, 2001.

Streisand praised former counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke who has been pointedly critical of his former boss' performance in prosecuting the war on terror.

Streisand posted on her personal website on Monday, "Finally ... finally we can talk about what's really going on. Rather than accept the myth that 9/11 turned President Bush into a "hero" ... former counterterrorism expert Richard Clarke has bravely spoken out to tell us the real story -- that Bush did not treat terrorism as an urgent issue. And that going to war in Iraq, in addition to tragically costing us so many lives, has diverted money and resources away from where they should have been focused -- on dismantling al Qaeda and strengthening our homeland security."

Streisand, who has donated to various Democrats seeking the White House including Sen. John F. Kerry, charges that President George Bush "never made counterterrorism a priority leading up to September 11th."

She goes further by claiming that "Bush never even held a cabinet level meeting devoted to terrorism until the week before the attack."

Telling concert-goers in Hong Kong that he condemns American action earns him a place on the list.

Actually, he meant Bush, not America. And even though he doesn't like Bush and his policies, he still went out to play for the troops and their families. I think actions in this case should speak louder than words. I didn't attend a concert (wanted to leave space for an actual soldier), but those who went said that Santana was very supportive.

Probably a liberal Troll.

antiRepublicrat? For ~remembering~ that Santana went over and performed for the troops?

I think you just proved antiRepublicrat's case.... Accusations of "troll" and Anti-Americanism or erupt instantly at any disagreement over this stupid list.

Jon Alverez posts these threads to push his own site. His list is so muddled it has lost all effectiveness it might have had if he had stuck with major offenders and understood the difference between "American with an opinion different than mine" and "Anti-American"

It's now obvious you dislike Bush.

Your innaccuracy astounds me. So 'obvious' I dislike Bush.... You don't even know me. Look me up. Look at my profile page. Look at my ~actions~ outlined there to support this president and our troops. I disagree with this tactic of hysterical labeling of everyone who has the gall to ~not~ embrace every choice on this list as a troll. It's juvenile and shallow.

I think where the other guy screwed up is that he made a list of names, but didn't back it up with evidence.

If he'd said, here's a traitor and here's why we think so based on their actions or a quote, I think they'd have no case whatsoever.

Of course, I still think they have no case whatsoever.

So, let me see if I understand the rationale here.

Anyone who "attacks" (or in some cases, simply voices disagreement with a sitting President) is to be considered "Anti-American" and worthy of being placed on some sort of Black List?

Here's a hypothetical question for you. Let's say (horror of horrors) Kerry beats Bush come November, would that make any here who would most likely be in the "attack choir" be by default "Anti-American" as well?

To be honest Jack, I've always been opposed to this concept of "Black Lists"
