ORIGINAL THREAD REGARDING APPEARANCE OF REPORTER TOM LIPSCOMB ON FOX NEWS
Reporter Tom Lipscomb wrote a bombshell piece of investigative journalism a few days ago that appeared in the NY SUN --- LIPSCOMB STORY - How Kerry Quit Veterans Group Amid Dark Plot
Lipscomb was supposed to be on FOX NEWS today but got bumbed because of the horrific terrorist bombing in Spain. He is rescheduled for Sunday at 2:48 pm Eastern.
For those who haven't paid attention, Lipscomb wrote a story about a meeting in Kansas City on Nov. 12-15, 1971. At that meeting of Vietnam Vets Against the War, there was a vote taken about assassinating U.S. senators who supported the war.
A very serious question has been raised. Was John Kerry at that meeting? His spokesman David Wade denies that Kerry was there, however, three witnesses have placed him there. On witness, Randy Barnes, has backtracked after he spoke to Lipscomb to say that he wasn't sure Kerry was there -- he could have been at the earlier meeting in St. Louis, and Barnes was confusing the two. Barnes is the head of Missouri Vets for Kerry.
It should be quite a day on FOX NEWS if Lipscomb does not get bumped again.

Even if true and Kerry was at this meeting, it will blow over in about a week given the lapdog mass media. If conclusive proof surfaces that Kerry was actually there when the vote was taken, it will be dismissed as a youthful indiscretion. If he was only at the meeting and no solid proof he was there when the issue was discussed, remember "I drank a lot of tea and had to pee" Al Gore?

As far as I'm concerned, Kerry is an admitted war criminal and it does not surprise me to learn he may be more brutal than I expected. I expect Kerry to be a brute, politically and otherwise.

I respectfully disagree. It will put him on the defensive big time. We will help force questions to be asked. Perhaps he will have to provide dental records like Dubya. :)

What would Kerry's wrong doing be in all of this if the charges are true? Consorting with radicals? Or failing to turn them in? It appears that he did not agree with the murder plot.

like the Sheeples are going to care that Kerry turned a blind eye to a murder plot.
they sure as hell didn't care when they had a president who actually engaged in murder.

There are several parts to the story. One is the claims that he was there at the meeting. Another is the claim that he resigned in writing a couple days before the meeting. What's that all about? Why the timing, and why the claim for a non-existant piece of paper? Why did one of his buds claim to be able to quote him, then suddenly forget whether he was even there?

Maybe we need the release of more than Kerry's service record. Maybe we need him to release his FBI file as well. Should be easy. He only has to ask Hillary.

After watching the Slime Clinton get away so many things, and being above the law. I don't think the chances will be anything positive that the Lurch will be touched. He'll beat the rap, regardless. Someone in Congress will have to make a lot of noise, and currently I don't hear a thing.

Because he has proudly proclaimed not only his involvement in VVAW, he has (like Gore and the Inet) claimed to be instrumental in its creation.
He can't have it both ways, although he tries on almost every issue.

You forget the most important part of this equation. It is in Hillary Clinton's interest to see that Kerry is destroyed. If she thinks Bush can be beaten, she wants in.

Yes, yes...
The real question is whether or not Kerry currently supports the assassination of Senators. After all, he is one. And we know how he flip-flops.
To: doug from upland
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a "Monica" show up in the catsup factory. However, this situation does not appear strong to me, in fact I think it is very weak for its legal intent.
But out there somewhere, is the truth and a solid case against Kerry. He is too dirty to have it hidden for long. Let's pray it shows up in time.

I think Kerry's character was revealed the other day when he spoke what he thought of the other half of the country. Should he win the election there is no way he would care a whit about us. He would be the Democrat's president.

And Hillary will let Kerry do all the heavy lifting when it comes to public displays of dirty politics. Then, if she has something on Kerry (and given her history .....) and it looks like Bush will be defeated she could jump in "for the good of the party."

No, if indeed he were there, he would have voted not. It could be that this meeting was what got him to quit the organization. I hope he was there and it can be proven. The damage will be enormous.

I was talking to someone today that said the dirt on Kerry won't be released until after the convention and that it won't be released by the Republicans. It will be the Clintons. He was saying that the Clintons don't want it to come out just yet because it would weaken the Democratic party so much that they would never be able to rebuild it before 2008, and Hillary would be forced to step in and run and she is not ready.

Since what was being discussed was the assassination of Senators, I think that Kerry might have a little trouble explaining this one away. His fellow Senators, even the Democrats, are not going to take to kindly to this if it can be proven that he was there. If Kerry wants to run on all his Band of Brothers BS, then he can't explain this away by saying he was young and stupid. They were talking about murdering members of a fraternity of which he is now a member himself. And Kerry did nothing. Not good. Could be a career-ending injury if the main-stream press runs with it.

I will respectfully disagree with your contact. This is Hillary's dream scenario. She has lots of money and can have as much as she wants any time she wants. Heck, Soros would launder 100 million to her. For Hillary, it is the perfect political story. She has not had to spend any money running in the primaries. The early poll numbers show that the RATS have a chance to win. There are no soundbites anywhere from a primary fight in which any RAT says something negative about the *itch that the GOP could use against her. If Kerry is forced out, she saves them at the convention like a conquering hero. Money will pour in, they will be activated, and the press will jump to her support. And, best of all for her. She only has to run a very short campaign. It is, as I said, her dream scenario.

Maybe you are right, but I still think the best chance for Bush's re-election is to focus on the failure of the UN and the real reason that France and Russia opposed the war in Iraq. We need to expose the Democrats for the traitors that they are.

Hi doug,
since you have contact with him - can you point out (if you already haven't and he hasn't seen it!!) that, Scott Camil's account of the "plot" seems to place the origins of the plan *before* the famous "medals over the wall" demonstration?
I think this could be significant as the plot described by Camil CAN NOT BE the one voted on at the November 71 meeting! He descibes a plot which would have occured immediatly AFTER Kerry's "testimony" before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (April 71).
Which means the plan was either "nixed" in early 71 (not enough preparation??), but scheduled for further consideration, or, Camil didn't communiate the plan (not very believable as he states "I was serious.")

Yup, just watched it myself. Seems to me Kerry has some splaining to do. However, I am done with the thought that any one issue is going to torpedo his candidacy into oblivion. As a matter of fact, I hope it doesn't...well at least not until October.
Let's see if the press demands proof like they did with the Bush AWOL stories.

Seems we're the only two to have seen it. Bottom line, Kerry knew about the killing plot and did nothing. Today, Tom said there were 7 congressmen on the list but isn't that two more than yesterday? There is definitely more to this story than Hillary is willing to let out at this time. That's it, a little here and a little there and she'll have Kerry off the ballot by October.

As long as the damaging information doesn't remove Kery from the ballot, I concur. But a candidate for the office of president can withdraw at any time, even after the general election and before being sworn in.
