I never said he should just take it (though I think it is a silly thing to get upset about). I simply rebuke the idea that Native Americans are the only minority with a target on their backs.

I have stood up for Native Americans on more than one occasion on this board. My position has nothing to do with some hatred or acceptance of Tribal ridicule. Just common sense.

You're right, other people have targets on their backs but the uber-left is always there for them.

Just think about what happens when one group of Americans has a problem with a movie based on the Christian Bible, all of the media left has been getting in line to kick Mel Gibson. Over what?

Shouldn't the left here (grammy folks) be then sensitive to AI's? The garb and dances being part of culture and religion? Why are they not now screaming racism?

Could be. The real funny thing is that AI's that I know wouldn't care about this, their main wish is to left alone. My Mom for instance is not easily offended - believe me, I have two brothers and we know. But I am political and I see things in the light of politics and the game. If this were another 'bankable' minority there would be h*ll to pay.

That's a good question and I have an answer, it involves the addiction of government dependancy. The same thing that Black Americans are falling into. More than any weapon, any policy or any disease what was most damaging to Indians was becoming dependant upon the gub'mint for survival.

I want freedom for AIs and I want to uphold contracts (though I'd like to see a compromise to change some things), but on a issue of offense by a "artist"? Get in line or better yet, join up with us. I have no problem using the tools of the Left against them. If that includes going after another 'minority' the better. How can the Left ignore this?

My gripe is that most people respect that other folks are offended by certain words or symbols and that people will generally refrain from using them. If I call someone on here a nice slur I may be booted, call me a R*dskin and nothing.
