It is not "your job". It is your employer's job.

I work part time only, but with the hopes of A) finding better work eventually, IF the economy and business permits; B) might go full time with the hopes of getting my MBA paid for to continue teaching. Therefore, I'm technically underemployed. I cannot get another part time job, due to the fact I administer classes both day and in the evenings.

That makes no sense at all. What does an MBA have to do with teaching? And if you're working both days and evenings, how can you say you're working "part-time"? And "technically underemployed"? So you don't make as much as you want to make. You're probably making as much as your employer thinks you're worth.

She passed a tax at the Federal level that only affects her own state? Holy cow! That's quite interesting. That Dole. She hates the people of North Carolina--she wants her state to be destroyed just for her own amusement.

The strange thing is that a tobacco company in Louisville recently announced it was relocating to North Carolina...but if they are all leaving North Carolina, it must have been my imagination.

Sorry that you have been through a difficult tough time
of your life... But please give me a permission to give
some of my thoughts :
1. Do you think that if you had a "MAJOR" accident in Oct 98, Nortel Networks still kept your job ??? Regardless the
shape of the economy, your life or everyone else's (in the
same situation) would be changed after the accident..
Perhaps changing your profession (teaching as you are doing)
would be the best solution. NC is having a critical shortage
in teaching field... sorry to say but with your present
physical condition, you have not much choices...
2. I hope that you don't blame your divorce on the Bush's
administration... But you should blame on whoever promotes
immoral conduct to this country. You were married to the
worst kind of human being (if you told the truth about your
spouse left after you become handicap). It takes time to
bring the country back to its righteousness... that is one
of the reasons we put GWB in the WhiteHouse.

I wish you well for the future.. Be positive and willing
to make change regardless your forte. And pray God for his
guidance... It always works for me !!!

I'm actively looking for work. Fortunately, my wife has a decent job.

Have you tried to set up your own business?

That's not what Ms. Martinez says:

A declining labor force suggests frustrated workers gave up their job searches, because only those who are employed or seeking employment are counted.

Some people want to spread bad news.

Isn't that the truth. And there are a lot of them on this very thread.

Really, you should read the threads on free trade and out sourcing. And most of the posts on this thread.

That's right. They hang out in Garner and parts West, South of Greenville.

It's just awful what Mrs. Dole has done to this state -- and to billbears personally!
