Hillary Clintons Biggest Cover-Ups

August 11th, 2003

.../... Peter Flaherty writes, "Hillarys official biography prepared by the Clinton campaign makes no mention of her stint as NWF chairman, despite the fact that she oversaw some $23 million in foundation assets. A few journalists, like Dan Wattenberg of The American Spectator, did report on the NWF grants during the summer of 1992, but the major media paid almost no attention. There was no need for Hillary to defend herself."

Hillary also took advantage of Bill Clintons radical connections, many developed in his trips abroad. Strobe Talbott and Bill Clinton had been Rhodes Scholars in England together, for example, and Talbott and his wife, Brooke Shearer, "became friends of mine," she writes. Brooke’s brother, Derek Shearer, another Yale graduate, became a friend of Bill and pro-Marxist economic adviser to Clinton.

Talbott, who also graduated from Yale and is now president of the Brookings Institution, became Deputy Secretary of State in the Clinton administration. Before that, he had been a columnist for Time magazine, writing a July 20, 1992, column, "The Birth of the Global Nation," that in the next century "nationhood as we know it will be obsolete," that we would all some day become world citizens, and that wars and human rights violations in the 20th century had clinched "the case for world government."

To help accomplish this, Talbott pressed for the use of the U.S. military to restore an extreme leftist, defrocked Catholic priest Jean Bertrand Aristide, to power in Haiti in 1994. Confidential documents from the U.N., publicized by AIM at the time, said that Talbott and other officials viewed an invasion as "politically desirable."

Aristide, a Marxist-oriented advocate of Liberation Theology, had been booted from the presidency by the military because, among other things, he was inciting mobs to threaten to burn to death judges and legislators if they did not do his bidding.

Hillary’s book describes this as a case of "the elected President" of Haiti being returned to power "after a harrowing year of diplomacy and the landing of American troops." But the book, Voodoo Politics by Lynn Garrison, tells a far different story, exposing Aristide as an anti-American figure not only allegedly involved in murder but drug trafficking. Garrison was an adviser to one of the generals involved in the anti-Aristide coup.

The political reasons for the invasion can be seen in the make-up of the "Aristide Foundation for Democracy," whose board included left-wing Democrats such as Reps. Maxine Waters, John Conyers, and Joseph Kennedy, and former Rep. Michael Barnes.

Talbotts global left-wing vision was endorsed by President Clinton, who had sent a June 22, 1993, letter to the World Federalist Association (WFA) when it gave Talbott its Norman Cousins Global Governance Award. In the letter, Clinton noted that Norman Cousins, the WFA founder, had "worked for world peace and world government" and that Talbott was a "worthy recipient" of the award.

I doubt he was popped inside the White House. What we do know is that he didn't committ suicide in Fort Marcy Park.

Note the date on this article. All this was known about Arisitide, when the Clinton Administration decided to prop him up and reinstate him as President of Haiti.

The Real Bertrand Aristide. January 10, 1994

When Aristide's seven-month-old regime was overthrown just four days after his speech to the CFR, the entire globalist-leftist Establishment came rushing to his aid. He is the darling, for example, of the Socialist International (SI) and enjoys the active support of Socialist French President Francois Mitterrand and his activist wife, Danielle. Michael Barnes (CFR), the former Democratic congressman from Maryland, who as chairman of the House Subcommittee on Western Hemispheric Affairs did so much to aid the Sandinistas in Nicaragua and the FMLN terrorists in El Salvador, came on board as Aristide's attorney and chief image doctor. The politically correct literati and the Hollywood "gliterati" shower him with money and affection.

The real Aristide is not a pretty picture. He has borrowed heavily from his mentors, Nelson and Winnie Mandela and their ANC (African National Congress) terrorist thugs. Aristide has proven himself a quick study in ANC-style mob violence and has adopted as his trademark the ANC's "necklace," which he calls Pere Lebrun.

The necklace, of course, is a terrifying instrument of torture and murder that members of the ANC have used on thousands of fellow black Africans. For those unfamiliar with this "beautiful tool" (Aristide's words), it is an automobile tire filled with gasoline or diesel that is put around the neck of a helpless victim and set aflame. Unfortunately for Aristide and his image doctors, he was caught on television cameras in a murderous harangue inciting his followers to necklace the opposition. Embarrassing (and damning) video footage of Aristide's speech to his tire-and-gasoline-toting supporters in Port-au-Prince on September 27, 1991 is a little tough to reconcile with the saintly image. Here's a sample of the gospel according to Jean-Bertrand:

A faker who pretends to be one of our supporters, just grab him; make sure he gets what he deserves with the tool you now have in your hands [referring to the tire "necklaces"]. The burning tire -- what a beautiful tool! What a beautiful instrument! It's fashionable. It smells good. And wherever you go, you want to smell it.

Great post. IMO if Xlinton would have left Haiti alone, Aristide would have fell and Haiti would be another good Caribbean tourist destination instead of the hellhole it is now.

Mr. Kennedy and his mother are both on the board of advisors of the Aristide Foundation for Democracy, a tax-exempt foundation that raises money for Mr. Aritstide’s use in Haiti.

Other foundation board members are Reps. John Conyers (D., Mich.) and Charles Rangel (D., N.Y.).

Marvin Rosen (finance chairman for the Democratic National Committee from September 1995 until January 1997), former Democratic Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II and Bill Clinton confidante Thomas (Mack) McClarty III are all on the board of Fusion Telecommunications International, according to that company’s Web site. Mr. Rosen, who was active in the DNC at the height of the Clinton fund-raising scandals, is also the company’s chief executive officer.
