This proves we really do live in the Matrix.

If a sleazeball Democrat Senator has sex with an intern, and they all deny it, did it really happen?

John Kerry is in trouble, I predict he will lose on Super Tuesday, He keeps calling on Veterans to come out, when they do, he won't like what they have to say.

He stabbed has nothing to run on besides the brief period of time he served in Vietnam. After he came home he sided with the enemies of America and crapped all over those still fighting and dieing in Vietnam. No amount of spin can erase what he did.

His voting record looks like the classic split personality case that would have any Psychoanalyst licking their chops

("they do want him to be the DEMONcrat nominee and will do nothing against him until he has the nomination")

I agree, they want Kerry because he will take less effort to beat.
When the administration does unleashes Kerry's past the Dems. will hang their heads in shame (but still vote for him I'm sure with low turnout), but the Indep. won't.

Patients will reward us with a fireball, but I don't have much patients because I just want Kerry to shut-up!!!

by leading Democrats, who have hailed Kerry as the new JFK

"Why-because he has hair? Talk about a shallow party!!!"

Senator Kerry, I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator Kerry, you're no Jack Kennedy!

NAVY & MARINE CORPS MEDAL TO LIEUTENANT, JUNIOR GRADE, JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY, UNITED STATES NAVY. CITATION: "For heroism in the rescue of 3 men following the ramming and sinking of his motor torpedo boat while attempting a torpedo attack on a Japanese destroyer in the Solomon Islands area on the night of Aug 1-2, 1943. Lt. KENNEDY, Capt. of the boat, directed the rescue of the crew and personally rescued 3 men, one of whom was seriously injured. During the following 6 days, he succeeded in getting his crew ashore, and after swimming many hours attempting to secure aid and food, finally effected the rescue of the men. His courage, endurance and excellent leadership contributed to the saving of several lives and was in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service."

To be fair, his comments about Kerry here appear to be a political view, not an intimation that he thought his daughter was being mistreated by Kerry. Which is how the Sun spun it in its first story.

John Kerry is in trouble

And that's not good news. For all that he is and all that I cannot stand, he is not John Edwards. Edwards has twice the charm, no long record to dig up, a squeaky clean past (I am told by a journalist friend) and the ruthlessness to play in the Clinton's world.

The Poliers? about-turn sparked fears that they had been put under pressure by leading Democrats, who have hailed Kerry as the new JFK.

Well apparently he is.

I wonder if like JFK I, Kerry will be murdered by his mob business partners.

On Friday, February 13, Kerry's a "sleazeball" etc...

Yesterday, he's suddenly voting for Kerry even though rumors have it this chick's father is a RINO (aka Spectre anal retentive worshipper).

If you think the Sun is spinning you must have believed Hillary's VRWC bit too then.

"I notice that in showing Kerry's speech tonight, they are carefully keeping the camera off his wife."

I also notice that since last Wednesday (based on the Wisconsin results) Senator Sleazeball's polls dropped from 51% down to a 39% vote. This means this story has traction because no idiot is going to believe that Edward's "charisma" caused a 12 point swing in 4 days.....

Aftwe the Wisconsin results tonight, it looks like there are only two men standing on the Democrat side, and one of those is John Edwards. I would not worry about Edwards, if I were you.

Edwards declined to run for reelection here in the Tar Heel State because polls made it clear that we, his constituents, would not vote for him. It's part of the punch line of an old West Virginia joke that, "If his own family doesn't like him...." Besides, Edwards is a big-ticket ambulance chaser. More than that, he's already under investigation for contributions from low-level employees of law firms who'd never made political contributions before, but supported him. As a "recovering lawyer" myself, I suggest that the result will be criminal charges against senior lawyers who funneled money from their pockets through staff people and into Edwards' campaign pockets.

The Democrats at this point have nothing but fundamentally defective potential candidates. The only differences are which defects apply to which candidates. It's like a fight to decide who will be in charge of the remaining life boat from the Titanic. As Kerry would say, "Soyez tranquille.

Well, with this archived item, I can at least put Ms. Polier in Westport, CT on May 22, 2003. Maybe if we dig all over her bylines up we can connect the dots for Matt and Co....

"Prom costs teens billions

By Alexandra Polier

WESTPORT, Conn. — Raquel Lucas is spending a small fortune on her senior prom.
Her dress cost $250; her shoes were $100; and there was $60 for a bottle of Christian Dior’s J’adore, her favorite perfume. A trip to the beauty salon will cost $70, the limo is $50 a person, and it will cost $90 just to get in the door.
Lucas, 18, who attends Staples High School in Westport, expects to pay more than $700 by the time the evening is over.
‘‘We’re going all out this year because it’s our last prom,’’ said Lucas, who got a part-time job at a clothing store to help pay for the event. Proms are a huge business, estimated to bring in $2.7 billion in revenue for purveyors of dresses, shoes, lingerie, cameras, film, beauty supplies and salon services. Teens also rent limousines and hotel rooms and plan after-prom parties requiring beach gear and swimsuits. Almost 20 million students will attend proms this year, with the average 17-year-old spending $638, or more than $1,200 per couple, according to research by Conde Nast, which publishes Your Prom and Modern Bride magazine.
‘‘It’s definitely become a reliable, growing industry,’’ said Wendy Liebmann, a retail analyst at WSL Strategic Retail. ‘‘And right now, it’s booming.’’
Retailers are pouring millions of dollars into prom advertising. Magazines such as Your Prom, Seventeen magazine’s prom issue, and YM magazine’s special prom book attract millions of readers.
‘‘The prom is recession-proof,’’ said Antonia van der Meer, editor-in-chief of Your Prom, which is published every January. ‘‘Even with the war on terror and the war in Iraq, people go to the prom. It’s a feel-good event, and right now people need to feel good.’’
‘‘It’s totally worth it!’’ said Lucas, who is still shopping and making final plans before the June 6 event. ‘‘How can you put a price tag on a lifetime of memories?’’
The industry has grown significantly in the past three to five years in terms of importance, the size of the market, and the emphasis teens put on it, van der Meer said. ‘‘It doesn’t surprise me one bit that they spend so much money,’’ said Cindy Freeburn, director of communications for Alfred Angelo, a leading prom and bridal dress maker. ‘‘The disposable income these kids have access to is mind-boggling.’’
Your Prom says that of its 5.2 million readers, 55 percent have part-time jobs, earning them an average income of $4,651 a year. Overall, teens spent $172 billion in 2001, with nearly half going toward clothing, jewelry and beauty products, according to Conde Nast research.
At prom time, many teens want to splurge, particularly on dresses. So companies like Alfred Angelo are able to charge $250 to $350 per prom dress at retail, and designers like Jessica McClintock can charge even more.
‘‘Budget restrictions just aren’t a concern for prom consumers like they are at other times of the year,’’ Liebmann said.
But van der Meer, the Your Prom editor, said many teens do get a life lesson from shopping for their proms. ‘‘They learn — in this microworld of prom — what things cost and how to budget,’’ she said. ‘‘Whether you have a prom girl who has a lot of money to spend or a little, they’re going to have to budget.’’
Department stores are often a destination when teens shop for dresses, but small businesses are also beneficiaries of the prom businesses. Teens spend $416 million a year for limousines, and $172 million on flowers, Conde Nast found. Robert Rivera, of Continental Limo service in Westport, who will be driving many of Lucas’s classmates to their prom, said he makes about $40,000, or about 15 percent of his annual sales, during the prom season, which runs from late April through June. This year, his entire fleet of cars is already booked for every weekend and most weekdays for proms.
‘‘Every limo company looks forward to prom,’’ he said.

Many young folk go uninsured

It appears, as is custom (and since she was approved for an AP internship also) that she got the "fluff" stories...
