Howlin, wonder what those "real" conservatives would have to say about this?! Kinda proves your points from the other posts!

This is an amazing article. It also highlights an absolutely CRUCIAL point to the survival of our country and our civilization.
Some of the President's domestic proposals (esp. immigration) must be on our to-do list. HOWEVER, I believe that a Democrat in the White House would literally be disastrous for our country and our national security. AQ and the Islamicists learned very quickly that the President is a man of his word, and would faint of happiness if he were to be voted out.
When we thought the Dems would basically concede 2004 to W was probably a rope-a-dope. They are dead serious about power, and we must take them as seriously as we do the Islamocists. We must have clarity, unity, strength, and determination. Now is NOT the time to split. Any Dem in the White House WILL be a wedge to allow Hellary to get back into the White House.
I'm still thinking this out, but if each of us talks to the people we encounter, even in the grocery line, that will help W, and our country. There are so many people who are ignorant of what we have access to here, and if the Dems are the only ones who have their say, that will be seen as the truth, by default.
Especially for those of us in the Blue Zone, there are many people who agree with our principles, but have never voted for a Republican. We need to spread the word on a personal, reasonable, well-spoken level to the vast middle.
We really have no other acceptable choice.

Excellent! Thank you for the much-needed "ping"!

HOWEVER, I believe that a Democrat in the White House would literally be disastrous for our country and our national security. This is the message that we must be absolutely clear about. Kerry's medals (or later anti-war efforts), his bimbo eruptions, W's Nat'l Guard service - or even the size of the deficit - are trivial compared to our security.
During the 90's, the pattern was that there was an attack against Americans every 18 months. It has now been 2 1/2 years since we have had one. The next one could come any day, but all the evidence we have says that the terrorists have been disrupted and demoralized.
The only discussion we should be having going into this election is about which candidate will do the most to protect us. The Democrat candidates don't even want to discuss that, and the media is complicit.
We have to make sure that everyone we know or even just talk to is thinking about security.

THANK YOU!!!

Absolutely. They don't want to discuss it because they are totally inadequate in that regard.
We have to make sure that everyone we know or even just talk to is thinking about security.
Again, I totally agree with you. God forbid we should be caught sleeping again. Being "doomed to repeat history" takes on a chillingly literal aspect that I do not want to see, ever.
It is now time for the good men and women of America to DO SOMETHING for our country - and for its survival.

It is now time for the good men and women of America to DO SOMETHING for our country - and for its survival.Yes. I volunteer at the local GOP HQs. And when I'm talking to people, I try to get them to remember 9/11.
I try not to get distracted by trivia - it's pointless to argue over the 2000 elections or clintoon's impeachment. I'm amazed at how many Libs are still stuck on those issues, but my goal is to get them to think of something else.
