And I am sure that these wonderful "virtuous" Billionaires pay the full tax bill on all their companies and personal income withouot taking any tax breaks or deductions because they feel so responsible for the welfare of the country and for the "little" people.

OH? I'm just standing by FAITH! If you have a problem with it, take it to the Lord. CASE CLOSE!

Standing by faith won't get you much when it comes to elections, but whatever floats your boat. Me, I'd rather get out and vote.

Progressive (you’ve seen their TV commercials) is the nation's third-largest auto insurer.

When I first heard that the name of the company was "PROGRESSIVE" I always thought that I WOULD NEVER do business with them, because that is the NEW name for the communists..... NOW I know it is the truth and he picked an approprate name.

Still won't do Biz with them HA HA HA!

These guys have Billions and all they can give is millions?

What a bunch of cheapskates. That's chumpchange, liberals have more money than conservatives but consistently give less money to political causes and charity. They'd rather use tax money, yours and mine.

As a member of the Armed Forces, I use USAA, I now need to see who they are owned by. Good thought, I need to research that one.

Let's hope your husband's friends do not vote.

Let's hope your husband's friends do not vote.

They do. When my husband made the remark that with this cast of democrats you may as well have a lizard with a hat, one of them said she'd vote for a lizard with a hat any day before Pres. Bush. And it's worse. My husband is a college professor, so these are the people who teach our children. Fortunately, as far as I can tell, these are not the ones who bring their left-wing bias into the classroom. And other than their own views, they tend to be excellent teachers.

something just strikes me as wrong about praying for someone to win a presidential election and calling him a "godly president." Maybe it's just me, but that seems a bit too far.

Why? If a candidate is Godly and promises to be a good and Godly leader, shouldn't we pray for just that individual to become president? It seems to me that if we don't do that, our country has no hope and no future left.

Professors..Oh..that explains everything. Your husband must find it hard to listen to the conversation in the professors lounge? Tell them the lizard isn't running (employee of the month was enough) but his competitor funds there party.

Actually, the conversation is usually very interesting. But when it comes to politics... My husband is a liberal too, but he's reasonable. Is considering voting for Pres. Bush in 2004. He doesn't like the idea, but is a patriot and doesn't see the alternative... and he does think beyond ideology. When he tells his lunch bunch that he's married to a very conservative Republican, he's been told that they can't understand how we can stay married. We would prefer to agree on politics, but don't and respect each other as people. His liberal associates don't. Says something, doesn't it?

I recently read Thomas Sowell's book, "Applied Economics". It is not as dull as it sounds and it does deal with the politics of economics. He refers to "stage one" thinking. Stage one thinking would be I will vote for Kerry because I hate Bush. They never go beyond that. They do not ask if I elect Kerry, what will he do for four years with a Republican House and Senate. What would or could Kerry do different in Iraq. Conversely conservative mad at Bush take the same approach, never thinking what four years of a MA liberal could mean and how it could affect there lives 15 years down the road. My wife is a conservative, she tells people she has domesticated me and I tell people I indoctrinated her. Yin & Yang it all balances out. Besides if she doesn't agree, I may not cook dinner when she works late!

By the way if you want to convert him recommend he read Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams. They are outstanding authors, great common sense stuff. Unlike Rush, Sean Hannity or Horowitz, they would sneak up on him and stimulate his latent conservatism.

Actually, my husband's own leftist associates are probably doing more than I ever could to convince him that the dems are not helping our country! I like Sowell and Williams a lot too.
