San Fran set for feng-shui law

A San Francisco politician has proposed a new law which would mean planners have to consider a building's energy flows.
The 4,000-year-old Chinese art of feng-shui claims to channel positive energy, known as chi, leaving the building's occupier in a state of harmony.
Buildings, and the objects within them must, be positioned correctly to channel the energy properly.
Leland Y Yee's proposal would mean that the California Building Standards Commission would have to adopt standards that would aid feng shui.
The motion must pass the committee stage before progressing to the full Assembly for approval.
"The structure of a building can affect a person's mood which can influence a person's behaviour, which, in turn, can determine the success of a person's personal and professional relationships," the proposal states.
"The concept of feng shui is a simple one - to improve your life by improving your relationship to the environment around you," said Mr Yee, who is also a child psychologist.
"Feng shui is an earth science that examines mathematics, physics, geology, astronomy, and architecture, among other sciences."
Mr Yee, who left China at the age of three, added: "It employs the concepts of balance and harmony, and incorporates natural elements to enhance health, wellbeing and prosperity."

Well, we could always legally mandate shaking the old chicken-bones for an omen as well. Or sacrifice a virgin - oh, wait this is San Francisco. Never mind.
To: Billthedrill
Or they could consult an astrologer for the most propitious time to begin construction.

I wonder if Leland Y Yee or any of his faamily have monetary interests in a feng shui-style business. A good look at his books may reveal other "motivations" than harmony.

Soon all buildings in San Fran will have to be built on top of a Pentacle in order for Satanists to feel comfortable. And to channel the dark energies of his Vileness for the benefit of all sexual deviants, killers, and politicians.

Penn and Teller did a show where they showed the "Feng Shui" experts to be the absolute frauds that they are. They brought in a bunch of these bozo's and videotaped their "analysis " and suggestions. It was hysterical. Of course every solution involved some expensive furniture from the "expert".

Won't be a revolution. Some people are angry. I'm one of em.
But all I do is catch alot of crap for my militant attitude towards the destroyers of America.
Catch most of it here on FR to be honest. Until enough people get angry enough, nothing will happen. Nothing. And when you do get angry enough to do something, people call you a militia nut or some crap. Then the gov gets you in thier sights.
America has been sissified beyond redemption. It will take our military to correct things. The civilian populace is lost in la-la land as evidenced by this story and thousands of others every day.

I saw the Penn and Teller show. Good show. The fees these feng shui "experts" are charging is astronomical. None of them agreed on what constituted "true" feng shui in the house that all three of them were to decorate using feng shui (a test house where they were unaware they as well as other "experts" were being tested).

San Fran set for feng-shui lawThe author wrote a misleading title and failed to include the bill number. If this idea were to become law, it would affect all of CA, not just the ultra-liberal district that elected an ultra-liberal Assemblyman.
The bill is probably ACR 144 -- an Assembly Concurrent Resolution on the topic of Feng Shui, which has the Legislative Council's Digest bill summary:
This measure would urge the California Building Standards Commission to adopt building standards that promote Feng Shui principles and publish these standards in the California Building Standards Code.
It seems to me that to "urge... to adopt" isn't the same as to "have... to adopt." The news article writer seemed to imply that the bill would force the CBSC to adopt feng shui.

The funny thing is, even Hong Kong proper and Taiwan don't mandate compulsory feng shui compliance. (Of course we Christians don't obey feng shui, but non-Christians who follow feng shui do seek advice from feng shui people) This in fact is infringing on the religious freedom on those who don't believe in feng shui.
Hehe, if feng shui laws were enacted, I can guarantee the number of abortion clinics would FALL because if you build a house near a place full of murders or deaths (including cemeteries, hospitals, abortion clinics etc) I heard it is considered very bad for the household living in that house.

This only confirms that when discussing Kalifornia words like "Stupid", "Inane", "Moron", etc are woefully inadequate.
I do not think the English language contains any single word, or reasonable set of words, that comes close to accurately describing how incredibly insane the liberal criminal culture of Kalifornia has become.
Anybody have a good foreign language loan word we can use?
Probably not, I doubt the hoax that is Kalifornia has ever been duplicated anywhere!

I'm certainly glad to see the state showing such consideration for diversity and traditional culture. Now all we have to do is introduce a resolution calling on builders to consider the placement needs of Ten Commandments tablets, Crucifixes, Nativity scenes, and Magen Davids.

WHAT A JOKE!!! A friend of mine, Chinese-American, said that "feng shui" is a humorous, oriental-sounding bastardization of "functional way" and there is no such term in China. He even said to look at the over-crowded dwellings built on top of each other in China, Hong Kong and the rest of east Asia. "Where the hell is 'feng shui'"?
LMAO...
