"Are persons born evil?"
I would be very interested in a debate around this question. Given the very good information you provided me last week, do you have any links to such a debate?
(For the record, I say yes. Some people are inherently evil)

"Opinions about what anybody says without being backed up by Scripture just will not flush with me."
Don't get me wrong, I am by no means trying to attack you or belittle your religeon with the following statements. That said, is it not our responsibility to use our intellect in situations like this. If the information is available to us and we are of sound mind, shouldn't we use one of the traits bestowed upon us to understand the issue and have logical reasoning behind our beliefs.
I have seen a lot of logic used in proving that a person is a person at the point of conception. That alone strengthens the case that I can make to the anti-life crowd. It also strengthens the point of view within me. I always believed that abortion was wrong, yet I couldn't go beyond a moral belief or "faith" when discussing the subject. Thanks to the posters on this thread I have learned a lot and I am very satisfied that I have used the gift of Intellect to reach the conclusion, in addition to faith.
Don't get me wrong, faith is important, I just feel that God gave us the ability to reason so that we could figure things out for ourselves and exercise our free will with full knowledge of the consequences of our decisions. The individual that accepts everything based on faith only is to easily swayed by false profits.

I would sincerely like to hear your logic on this point.
"Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." (KJV)
These Boreans had to use their faculities of logic and reasoning to fit the Scriptures together, along with the help of God and/or Jesus Christ. Paul also. I did not use that verse to condradict what you said.
I thank you for your decency to a fellow saint.

It isn't necessary to debate right now, actually this would be a bad time for me too, I just wanted to see if you had some other good information for me.

To be honest with you I hadn't read all of your post, therefore I wasn't directly addressing any particular scripture. I do like your response. Thanks.
