I first heard of Freerepublic during the Elian debacle, when Rush quoted Freerepublic for breaking news about local developments before and after the Elian raid.

He pretty much has to read FR, because the is the only place he can read what his fans and not-so-fans think about him. We are his target audience.

Not to mention there is no single source of news as fast and comprehensive as FR.

Rush was promoting his attorney Roy Black's appearance tonight on Hannity & Colmes.

He also said there is much misinformation and misunderstanding on recent revelations with his case. He mentioned reading on-line chat sites, specifically, Free Republic, stating that many don't get what is going on with the release of his confidential legal memos.

His attorney will be having a non-televised press conference to announce (I think he said "blockbuster")news today. Black will be discussing the news on H & C tonight.

I would say that most most broadcast weeks from Rush contain at least 1 mention of FR. So we should stop freaking out like excited schoolgirls about it at this point.

There are a number of freepers that would love to see Rush go down in flames -- Howlin and Old Friend are just two of them. They cut down Rush any chance they can. Old Friend actually said Rush wouldn't have a radio show if he didn't go to FR first. This is pure Bulls**t and she knows it. I for one trust Rush and am willing to wait until he is able to talk freely about what is going on. If intelligent people on FR cannot see that this is a political persecution lead by the Clintons then they are not near as intelligent as I gave them credit for. Unless of course they despise Rush for some reason they cannot explain or are unwilling to do so.
