CLEARWATER, Fla. - Gov. Jeb Bush has asked an appeals court to be allowed to question witnesses and collect evidence to defend his right to keep a brain-damaged woman alive.

Terri Schiavo, 40, who doctors say is in a persistent vegetative state, has been the subject of a long legal battle between her husband, Michael Schiavo, who has sought to disconnect the feeding tube keeping her alive, and her parents, who want to take care of her.

George Felos LIED on Greta's show last week. He said Terri is NOT BEING MEDICATED. [when asked if her reflexes were deliberately being suppressed]

But TWO DAYS EARLIER, his staff filed a petition to more easily cut off the Schindler's visitation. They quoted their reasons as:

"to accommodate the need for hospital personnel to administer medication and treatments unimpeded."

Dr Hammesfahr ALSO testified in late 2002 that hospice records show Terri is being FREQUENTLY medicated.

Excellent point here! I hope you mail Greta this information to let her know that one of her guest lied. Maybe she will quit being so nice to Felos.

We should thank Greta and point out the lies by Felos regarding medication as well as correct the statement about heart attack.

Hopefully, Governor Jeb Bush will ask for the medical evidence relating to her injuries and that this indicates they are into a full blown investigation of Schiavo and why he wants her so desperately dead.

Hopefully Gov Bush will be able to get the medical evidence. The judicial system in this country needs a good steam cleaning.

Thanks for the ping FL.

Ken Connor seems to understand how to be interviewed. His remarks are (excuse the expression) pithy. He squeezes a lot of powerful statements into the little blip of time he's allotted. That's hard to do. He's the first one I've seen do that on either side of this case issue situation travesty of justice.

I didn't see it, but reading the words, Conner wins hands down. He had good law and he appealed to human concerns and common sense. He was far more persuasive. Felos sounds evasive and legalistic, and people usually detest that.

Thanks, FL_engineer. I caught the last minute or so of the part of her show dealing with Terri. It's a big help, being able to read about it here.

Thanks again for doing the work to provide us with a transcript!!

Connor's answer to Greta's question was really good.

Greta: Either one of you guys have ANY idea short of battling this out in the courts, that would be a GOOD way to resolve it for the family? Because you've got parents, you've got Governors, you've got Terri... Is there ANY way to get in one room and resolve it?

Connor: Sure, I think mister Schiavo, who has ABANDONED his wife in preference for another woman, could consent to have her PARENTS have custody, and take care of her.

What do the people of Pinellas Co. think now about this case? Is there still such heavy support for the Michael R. Schiavo and George J. Felos position?

There are a lot of hemlock people up there. I'm not sure if it is because they are true hemlock members or if it is the health insurance industry or maybe the hospice issue. Probably a combo of all 3.

Felos was mousey. Is that a word?

Felos was mousey. Is that a word?

Good enough word, in my book. Felos has always come across like that to me. A bit of weasel as well. He has to spout the same ole lies over and over. If he says anything different, he'll trip over his tongue. He says stuff about Terri like it's a mantra. I can even imagine him chanting about Terri while meditating, "Nothing has changed for Terri for 13 years...nothing has changed for Terri for 13 years...nothing has changed..." It's ironic how true his words are, just not the way he intends them. I want to vomit whenever I see him speaking!

>> Felos was mousey. Is that a word?

Sure. Mousy, without the e. Usually used to describe a woman who is so timid and plainly dressed, you hardly notice her. Also means mouse-colored.

>>I want to vomit whenever I see him speaking!<<

I'm afraid you may have to take a number. The reason he makes me so bloody ill is that he clearly loathes either disabled people or women (or both) and he appears to wrap that loathing in the shroud of 'compassion'.

I've heard some tall tales in my life, but consider the fact that this man has worked so vigorously to promote this woman's death by dehydration and starvation, yet is perfectly delighted to manipulate the courts to block any attempts at a swallowing challenge or therapy to assist her in eating table food because (everyone say it with me) he wouldn't want her to aspirate.

Golly. I just can't imagine what about this man turns you off so much.

Prayers for Terri, her family, for those caring for her, her legal representatives, for those in the media who will present her case but most of all for the lawmakers and judges who will decide her fate. They have an awesome responsibility and by choosing life, they and all of us win.

Michael Schiavo and the legal henchmen paid for by Terri's court award have had all these years to tell MS's story of woe and you know how alot of people believe what they read. I have a friend there that is a nurse and she said that she didn't think MS was a monster and besides, he is going to give all that money to charity...but she didn't think Terri should be starved to death. Dirty Deeds!

Ode to a Mouse -- on turning up her nest with a plow. Robert Burns, 1875. This should teach everyone everything they ever need to know about mousies :-) The verse goes on and on and on this way :-) :-)

Wee, sleekit, cow'rin', tim'rous beastie,
O what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
Wi' bickerin' brattle!
I wad be laith to rin an' chase thee
Wi' murd'rin' pattle!

How pitiful Michael is! Charity, my foot. If he ever intended for any of the $ to be given to charity, let me take a wild guess which ONE he would most likely donate to...how about Mary Labyak's Hospice of the suncoast? I would even suggest that there could have been an informal agreement made a few years ago, if the Schindlers took the bait. I'm glad they didn't.

Michael is pathetic. Every time I say something like this, though, I am reminded by my conscience to pray for him and his helpers. But I believe God is blessing Terri far more than any of us can really understand. I truly believe that God is using Terri in a powerful way to show the rest of us a glimpse of the evil that is abounding in the world. She is suffering at some level, but is also receiving great grace as well.

Or how about this little ditty:

"Love to eat them mousies!
Mousies what I love to eat!
Bite their litle heads off,
Nibble on their tiny feet!"

Just something I recall from my teen years.
