He lost because he is a nut and there are only about 18% of the Dems who are the certifiable looney Left who want a nut as their candidate.Bingo.
The DU type crowd is just that.
A murmuring underground ignored by most Americans.

Dean failed because he was never in the TRUE running. Iowa established that Demcrats want Dean's anger but they want to win more.
Democrats know their party is in danger of permanent minority and eventual extinction. Kerry is a faux more to the right, a very small move. It is just trying to be winable.
Now we have real primaries, not the IOWA non-anonymous horsetrading system. This should get interesting.

Edwards is going to be protrayed as a lawyer for the little guy. We need a graphic that shows him less as sucessful.
How about a white plantation suite and a lollipop.

Iowans think building an organization in Iowa means getting actual Iowans on board with you.If some kid with a pierced nose from San Francisco showed up on my doorstep asking me to vote for somebody I'd be more inclined to vote against that candidate! I'd love to hear from some actual Iowans, but I'm betting there's a bit of a culture clash between the Deaniacs and real Iowans.

Dean may not get the democrat nomination, but as long as he rants his Bush hate and Anti-War "We are no better off..." bull, then he will continue to be the Media Darling!
The media love Mean-Mean-The-Dean-Machine, but even every-day democrats think he's a second away from a panic attack!

I'd love to hear from some actual Iowans You just did.

So you folks aren't impressed by a bunch of tatooed, nose-ringed, blue haired college kids from New York and California hitchhiking into the state to tell you how to vote, eh? Who'd have thunk it! ;)

Thanks for posting this image.
If the libs want to know why they are so out of touch & loathed then they can look no further.
Behold! Angry Howard as he delivers a speech to this audience with a straight face.
Dean should've wore a circus ringmaster's suit...he'd have at least been appropriately dressed.

This is very telling:
George Davey, the precinct captain for the Dean campaign, said he was hoping for 25 to 50 Dean voters between the ages of 18 and 25, but only one showed up. "I think if we could blame [Dean's loss] on anyone, blame it on the 18- to 25-year-olds, because they were nonexistent," he said.

Is that Helen Thomas? If not, she's got a twin in Iowa.
To: justanotherfreeper
Oh, there's nothing halfway
About the Iowa way we treat you,
When we treat you which we may not do at all.
There's an Iowa kind of special
Chip-on-the-shoulder attitude we've never been without that we recall.
We can be cold as our falling thermometers in December
If you ask about our weather in July.
And we're so by God stubborn
We could stand touchin' noses For a week at a time and never see eye-to-eye.
But what the heck, you're welcome,
Join us at the picnic.
You can eat your fill of all the food you bring yourself.
You really ought to give Iowa a try.
To: CoolPapaBoze
Is that Helen Thomas? If not, she's got a twin in Iowa.Nah, but the libs will tell us that this 'guy' would be perfectly OK to teach, instruct, or otherwise be in the immediate vicinity of children.
...and Angry Howard wonders why Iowa dems abandoned him.

The media don't get it, Dean's very vocal support was led by young people, too young to influence the adults who control the caucuses. Dean's supporters' anger and inexperience scares the party regulars, who still LOVE Clinton and the power of the Clintons. Dean became the anti-Clinton when Gore endorsed him.

Walter Shapiro's metaphor of Dean as an "aging rock star reduced to reprising his greatest hits in smaller and smaller clubs" never felt more apt. So, Mean Dean IS Spinal Tap? Say it isn't so!!
