Saddam's 'Sex Therapist'
The supreme victory for the rapist is proof that his victim "enjoyed" it. Though he may force his way into her property, demolish her home, murder her loved ones, pillage her belongings, though he may terrify and humiliate her, beat and batter her, break her bones and tear her flesh, spill her blood, wound her organs and lay waste to her very soul, if, in the midst of the rape, between tears and shrieks of agony, if his victim should, for a moment, for some reason, any reason, if she should smile, or, better yet, orgasm [sic], the rapist is redeemed; he is even (in his mind) heroic.

I find her reference to a woman "happening" to orgasm during a violent rape to be bizarre. People smile in response to all kinds of situations for all kinds of reasons. But I can't imagine that many women who are actually being raped and tortured as described here would be capable of "happening" to have an orgasm. But then I wouldn't equate military action in Iraq with the actions of a depraved rapist, either.

Just goes to show that "liberal-speak" can have real, dangerous consequences.
Not that I'm for restricting speech... just that we become aware of the consequences of our speech. (Are you listening Dixie Chicks?)

Taranto is just great.
His opening article makes an important point -- that there's a real link between the pro-Saddam, anti-American people our left wing and the pro-Saddam, anti-American terrorists in the Middle East. They all believe the U. S. is the root of all evil.

A similar thread
got pulled yesterday. This stuff
is from a porn site.
If we ran porn sites,
probably we'd see the world
through sex metaphors...

Taranto is not afraid to tell the truth about the liberal anti-americans. I love reading his editorials.

The contrast between the Bush and Dean approaches to religion is instructive. To Bush, religion is a source of personal strength and guidance. To Dean, by contrast, it dictates policy: God told me to build a bike path. Dean has criticized his Democratic opponents as "Bush lite," but he seems to be Pat Robertson lite. This is John F Kerry'ing brilliant!

"Wallace voters were, well, white guys with Confederate flags"My college buddy Josh was in Laurel, Maryland one day in 1972 holding a "Down with Wallace" sign.
All of a sudden Wallace got shot by Arthur Bremer.
Josh said he felt very bad standing there with that sign.
