Do you (or anyone) know if the Section 179 deduction applies to used vehicles?

Somehow I always figured you were a Volvo driver. (I'm guessing pink in color.)

Be honest. You still proudly sport your Gore/Lieberman sticker on the bumper, don't you?

Does that turn you on?. I never thought I'd be in your fantasies.

The Volvo I drive is the XC90 T6 AWD (SUV)...A twin turbo six that was voted truck of the year...IN TEXAS.

You want to buy me something else comparable I'll drive it...But that would mean you'd have to find a job.

I would say yes, provided the vehicle met the GVW requirement.

I've "heard" that it does. (caveat emptor) Remember my old tagline:"Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see!"

I see that someone else is now using it as their tagline... Oh well, it wasn't original with me and no copyrite, so no royalties, again!!! (explitive deleted!)

Ha Ha Ha... That snopercod sure knew how to git yer goat!!! All he had to do is find out where you tied the dang thang!!!

Hay Dog Gone! Notice how he had to prove it was a "cool" Volvo by capitalizing TEXAS?

To be honest, lewislynn, I saw your confession earlier that you were a "Volvoid," and thought to myself... "Ahah! Now that explains EVERYTHING about lewislynn that I never understood!!!

Then, after thinking about it for a few seconds, I figgered, what the heck. I shouldn't pick on the poor thing, so I split a gut laffin when snopercod grabbed ya by the short hairs and yanked... HARD!!!

It does but you can't take the deduction unless you actually have a business with income.

Yea, your 'me too' jumping on the band wagon is really impressive (or is that indicative?) Pappy Yokum.

Let's see if the rest of the gang can copy and paste too.

What happened to your idiotic tag line? Did you realize your self-loathing freudian slip about not believing anyone/anything from California exposes your true self?

The government is forgiving taxes that the rest of us must pay

The government is not "forgiving" any taxes. They are accelerating depreciation. Depreciate it this year and you can't depreciate it next year. The last time I did any venture analysis there was a category called "deferred income taxes" to handle this.

The real truth is that the government is having to pay interest on the tax money it won't collect until future years. Since short term interest rates are in the 2% category, this is no big deal.

Don't worry, the government will get every last tax dollar sooner or later.

This concept is a lot harder to understand and/or explain than "a subsidy for Hummers". It also produces newspaper headlines which will put readers to sleep. The only thing it has going for it is truthfulness.

I too think the H2s are pretty cool; however, I wish that restaurants, shopping malls, etc. would get on the ball and paint parking lots with wider spacing between the stripes.

A couple days ago I was eating at Campisi's Egyptian (Mockingbird Ln. - Dallas) and I could not get in on the driver's side due to being boxed in. I had to slither in on the right side and crawl over the shifter... not easy after eating a whole medium pizza.

"I have a Volvo too"

That's ok in your case as you didn't subject yourself to ridicule, claiming that Repubs were exclusively and entirely responsible for energy dereg in CA and then vocerifously keep trying to maintain that fiction to the point of absurdity, ad infinitum!!!

But ya gots ta be careful bout them Volvo's as they have historically been purchased due to the headrests havin "open space" for the owner's hippy dippy ponytail to extend and fly freely through! Plus, they're made my Sweedish Socialistas and you wouldn't wanna be supportin that, now would'ja? (grin)

You put that Volvo out on the curb with a "for sale" sign on it and watch them aging, ponytailed dope smokin hippies still stuck in the 60's come swarmin around it, lookin for those special headrests, then you'll understand. I didn't say ya had ta sell it. Just try the expieriment.

Oh! And don't forget to put a "Peace Symbol" necklace over the mirror bracket in the windshield! That'll bring 'em like flies lookin for a manure pile!!!

But my daughter wants it so it is going up to Vegas soon!
