Not one of these hate-filled weasels has the courage of their convictions enough to walk up to a soldier returning from Afghanistan or Iraq and start spouting this crap.

"#1 - I would dare to assume that most of us here are in the upper 1%-20% of the population intelligence-wise. We must come to the realization that the majority of the population is in the lower 80% to 99% percent of the bell-curve. WE are not the norm."

WOW! Has this guy looked at just who it is that makes up the base of the Democratic Party. Not to be condescending, but most of the Democratic Party faithful are the least productive in society...those who are the least educated. This guys attitude is a perfect example of the elitism that fills the halls of academia and liberal politics...as they think it is their job to take care of us poor folk.

We must come to the realization that the majority of the population is in the lower 80% to 99% percent of the bell-curve.

LOL! I guess the phrase, 'smart liberal' is truly a myth. I guess DU can't get over the fact that Republicans are the smart ones. The average R is happier and more successful than the average D.

"Hey Grandma, I know you say you've always voted Democrat, but have you really looked at what your party stands for? Come check out this website!"

You don't need to show Grandma posts on DU to educate her. Just the NY times.

How to think like a DU guy

Smoke too much weed

Listen to reggae music

Wear fruity French looking barets that are too tight for your head

Listen to moron DJ's like Howard Stern

Read books written by the Clinton or Gores

Generally act like a groovy person who buy all their clothes from REI

"Starpass" is a lunatic; so much so that (s)he'll probably be a keynote speaker at the Dem convention and then be interviewed by Katie Couric for half an hour (a la "Franken and Moore").

#1 - I would dare to assume that most of us here are in the upper 1%-20% of the population intelligence-wise. We must come to the realization that the majority of the population is in the lower 80% to 99% percent of the bell-curve.

This person who talks about how intelligent the average Democrat is, yet has no clue about the "Bell Curve" and how it works.

The Republicans understand that the average American is not very bright. They cater and pander to the masses. The Democratic Party tries to appeal to the population about "issues" that these people just don't understand.

The average American, is, well, average. I'm not sure how one can talk about the average American in one breath, and proclaim the average American is not very bright in the next.

WE are not the norm.

Thank God.

What do Freepers lash out at? Illegal aliens, Democratic politicians that pander to the UN, race baiters, and socialists. DU'ers lash out at all Bush, anyone that serves the country, the Constitution and and middle-Americans.

"We must come to the realization that the majority of the population is in the lower 80% to 99% percent of the bell-curve."

That statement is literally true, but trivial. Of course the majority of any population is in the fattest portion of the bell-curve! Works regardless of the variable being measured - height, weight, IQ, hairs on the head, etc.

That said, their arrogance is impressive.

That's what's so funny! To be fair, most liberals take womyn studies during their college years. They don't have time for thought provoking classes. ***snicker***

I can't believe they missed this one, from the day we caught Saddam:

If bush wins again I suggest everyone buy a high powered sniper rifle with a few hundred rounds and learns how to use it quickly.

2) "What we MUST realize in order to win - Americans are stupid and uninformed. This is very important because in order to win we must understand the way the average American thinks. I'm afraid WE have nothing in common with them.

Has a real Stalinist ring to it.

The funny thing is Democrats typically have the advantage amoung people who only have a high school diploma and the Republicans have a significant advantage amoung those who are college educated.

You would like to think these Dems are outside the mainstream, until you read quotes by Cynthia McKinney, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Terry McAuliffe, etc.
