"I think that's the point....the nutjobs have become the mainstream of the party."

and that's not a bad thing, in fact, that's a good thing. The voters are not stupid, no matter how much the Dims wish them to be.

Listen to moron DJ's like Howard Stern

Oh, come on. For the most part, Howard is fairly conservative: he is a HUGE supporter of the Iraq war effort, and generally takes the Hollywood types that he often has as guests on his show to task for their anti-American, anti-Bush tirades.

I wouldn't know, every time I come across his station he is talking about bukaki queens or gas passing methods.

A higher number means more activity?

I dont think so the site I use has Drudge at 328. I doubt that DU has more hits than Drudge does.

I agree. I am glad that the moderators deleted a FR thread today dancing for joy that three journalists were injured in a bombing of a restaurant in Baghdad today.

And therein lies the difference. For the most part, the posts going "over the top" here on FR get edited out. All the threats to the President and death-wishes for our troops seem to be encouraged at DU.

A higher number means more activity?

No. A higher number means less activity. When you say "My school's football team is number one!" you don't mean it's in last place.

I saw Barbra Streishound speaking at Harvard. She gave a brilliantly thought out speech (for a liberal) & then came the question & answer period. When the students started asking her question about things she had said in the speech, she was SPEECHLESS. She hemmed & hawed & stammered & said UH more than hillary. She could not answer a *single* question. It was obvious she had *not* written the speech & was just acting. Some man, probably the writer of her speech, came forward & answered the students questions. It was a thoroughly embarrassing time for her & I laughed my a$$ off.
