"A caller on C-Spam just came out and said we should get rid of the Electoral College. "
LOL! He'd better be careful. One person, one vote, next thing you know all elected officals will be white, male, & conservative. They are still the majority.
We'd vote him off the island. He should be very thankful for the electoral college.

I disagree with going to war against the express directions of the UN which was made to council the nations on these issues. Council kid, not dictate. The sovereignty of any nation is not subservient to the will of the UN general assembly, never has been and never will or should be.
Why should the US fold to the pressures of the nations who unleashed the 3 great anticrhists on the world? Russia, Germany and France? Europe has a horrible track record when it comes to dealing with despots... they always go the route of appeasement and sooner or later we have to go in and clean up the mess their failed policies cause.
You are welcome to disagree, but if you think the US should be subservient to the UN defacto, and that US sovereignty ends when teh UN says something different than what our nations leaders decide, then frankly you are a traitor... you have decided that your nations sovereignty is subservient to another entity of man, and that sir frankly makes you a traitor.

You are illiterate. You misspelled "equivalent," "counsel," etc., etc. Your sentences are either run-ons or fragments. And you do not actually argue, you merely assert. To "argue," the FIRST thing you must do is find premises upon which you AND your opponent agree. From those premises, you can proceed to show your opponent how your beliefs are consistent with what he already agrees with, and how his beliefs conflict in hidden ways with the premises he has explicitly agreed to. Merely to assert, without proof, that Gore won the Presidency, or that Bush is a cocaine addict, or that babies in the birth canal ought to have their brains suctioned out, is not argument. It is gratuitous assertion.

>>I disagree with everyone being angry at Bill Clinton for smoking marijuana but no one criticizes George W. Bush for DRUNK DRIVING and COCAINE use. On the contrary. He has been commensurrately chastised and punished. He has shown contrition for his wrongs and corrected them. Has Mr. Clinton?
Funny how those on the left refused to accept all of the statements made about Bill Clinton's own cocaine use (and possible heart attack). Even his own half brother said that he had a nose like a vaccuum cleaner.
The allegation against George Bush came from an anonymous source in a book authored by a guy who wrote unauthorized biographies of Star Trek actors. That author has since committed suicide.
Regardless of the truth or fiction of George W. Bush's cocaine use/abuse, I am certain that he is clean and sober today. There are still suspicions that Bill Clinton continues to use cocaine.
As to the drunk driving, it is known that Ted Kennedy killed more people driving drunk than George W. Bush (1 to 0). Ted Kennedy gets a pass on this; he even waited before getting "aid" for his campaign aide lady friend. George W. Bush paid his fine (the penalty for the crime at the time). How much jail time did Ted Kennedy get?

History may be written by the victors but it is activist teachers who use the classroom as communist/socialist indoctrination centers.
