For 2004, Bush Has Strength in the White Male Numbers

WASHINGTON — President Bush's overwhelming strength among white men looms as a central obstacle between Democrats and the White House as 2004 approaches.

In an election season heavily shaped by terrorism and national security, several recent polls suggest Bush could dominate white male voters as thoroughly as Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush did during their three successive presidential victories in the 1980s.

White men compose just under 40% of the electorate, with white women just over 40%, and minorities composing the rest.

What I am wondering about, do women and minorities feel invulnerable to terrorism? One would think they would get a clue and support Bush in larger numbers.

To amplify: Since ClintonWorld (R), minorities have been encouraged to "embrace" their heritage -- as opposed to being Americans; women have been encouraged to "embrace" whatever child-rearing/body-shaping/conciousness-raising cockeyed notion the press wants to feed them this week. For the most part, white males -- left out of all the consciousness-raising going on -- have just gone about their business, come home to find their wives performing yoga, and gone about their business again. In other words, white males missed the ridiculous cultural boatride that many women and minorities have been floating on lo these many years. They still have an oar in reality.

Good to hear it!

I think the whole purpose of this LA Times article is to create doubts in the minds of people who are NOT white males, something along the lines "if white males vote for Bush, we shouldn't".

I think it's time that other groups who tend to vote as a block reassess things and decide for themselves, as you are doing.

Being safe from terrorists is in everyone's best interest, regardless of race, gender, religion, or any other characteristic.

President Bush is THE ONLY ONE, of all the candidates, or maybe THE ONLY ONE in the US, period, who can accomplish this.

Actually they grudgingly admit in the article that Bush is leading among white women too, just not by as large a margin.

"Recent polls underscore the challenge for Democrats with white men. In an ABC/Washington Post survey released last week, white men preferred Bush over an unnamed Democrat in 2004 by 62% to 29%, a head-turning 33-point margin; by contrast, white women gave Bush just a 10-point lead."

Feminists, from Susan B. Anthony to the contemporary sort, believe that only men start wars, while women bring peace. Feminism is much like a religious cult.

All young women are indoctrinated into the subjectivities and victimology of feminism. A few get away from it, and many remain mesmerized by it. If we don't break its hold on our women by shutting down "Women's Studies" departments at universities and other feminist war rooms (which most battered women's shelters are used as), family will cease to exist. Then western culture will cease to exist.

Most young men are afraid to marry as it is, because they can easily be violated by an accusation from their wife under our unconstitutional system of government in domestic relations. Eventually, they will even reject cohabitation.

BTW, single men are also more likely to vote left/liberal than married men. If we don't rid western culture countries of no-fault divorce laws (instigated by Anthony and her friend, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, among others in the 1800s), there eventually will be no chance for getting Republicans into office.
