Perhaps hearing this stuff over and over again prevents courts from actually listening to and carefully considering the merits in each case. This poor family was further victimized by prejudice in the court. Pray for discernment.

WFTV news here in Orlando interviewed a neighbor who said the man was in tears two days before at a Publix store and said he missed his children. Especially his daughter I think. The Dr. must have found something not kosher otherwise why alert the Sheriff.?

A divorce can be bitter but one should never drag your children between you. You may never be husband and wife again but you will be the parents for the rest of your life. And during the holidays, it the sad tale of a selfish couple that failed to put their kids first that led to this pointless tragedy.

The article said they fought over money. The guy was obviously mentally ill if he would kill his own kids. I feel sorry for the woman because you can bet her life is and was hell to live.

A selfish couple? A mother who is trying to protect her kids from a raving lunatic needn't be so harshly classified. He was the enraged, selfish man who stole his children's financial security, domestic security, personal security, and eventually their very lives. I won't blame the "couple."
To: FITZ
it sounds like they did a lot of fighting over the kids and moneyIf they don't have kids or money to fight over, they'll fight over the TV, or stereo. If they are really poor and don't have much of anything, they'll fight over the pots and pans.

Yes, I know it was stated that they fought over money in the article -- which is part of the whole misunderstanding and prejudice of not just the courts, but all of society in such cases -- and why people refuse to protect endangered lives when the threat is issued from a bitter parent.
"Oh, it's just a nasty divorce, people always say such things....."

Yeah, just like post 28 --- thanks for proving my point in advance.

Shahab and Hope.....probably doomed from the start.
To: ValerieUSA
We don't know much from the article of the details. Some divorces are very nasty --- both are guilty of trying to push the other off a cliff. Sometimes the in-laws get involved and do what they can to make things even worse. Sometimes false accusations get made and neither spouse is completely innocent --- but sometimes one is. I can't really tell here.

Here's a clue - He murdered the children.

Hope isn't a Muslim name. I imagine this was another foolish American woman who thought it would be romantic to marry a Muslim.
You never can tell all the ins and outs of a divorce, but it certainly sounds to me as if she married a monster, an incestuous child-rapist, and a murderer. Probably a wife-beater too, given the rest of the record.

A "Bitter Divorce" did not LEAD to him murdering his kids....
Many go through painful bitter unwanted divorces...without resorting to the selfish
insanity of murdering your own children....
The only element that leads to murder is the decision on the part of the murderer to do so...the murderer is responsible

"There wasn't enough damage to the car to say he wanted to crash into the house," Harrison said. But let's think it anyways, because it's harder to think of anything else.

Judge deserves to be executed. Could have prevented this but escalated it through refusing to take precautionary preventive measures.

You are absolutely right. I also think the Dr. found something suspicious. He had big problems before any custody battle.
