Although castigated by Islamic extremists as agents of the West, Copts maintain cultural, linguistic, and religious traditions that long predate the advent of Egyptian Islam in A.D. 641.
"advent of Egyptian Islam", AKA the greedy plunder of a long-established Egyptian civilization and pre-Roman center of Christianity in the ancient world.
