Hello, my FRiends,

You have been such a wonderful fellowship of friends, and have generously offered your prayers for people in need.

A very dear friend of mine and his wife need your most loving and powerful prayers during this Christmas season. Dave has been in ICU for 16 days now, felled with pneumonia that has been unresponsive - doctors have been unable to grow a culture. (They are thinking it may be viral.) He has been intubated, and had unfortunately pulled it out twice. Been on a variety of very heavy drugs while in ICU. So, the doctors did a tracheotomy today basically to save his life - if he had pulled it out again, his throat would have been so swollen they couldn't have opened up his air passages again.

So please, I'm asking for your prayers for his recovery and health, for God's hand to guide his physicians and nurses, and for his wonderful wife Molly to be able to get some sleep and not to have to worry quite so much. I spoke with her today, and she gave me permission to post this. I will be sending the link to her email address. She is a strong believer in the power of prayer, as is he.

I cannot exaggerate my admiration and love for this wonderful couple. I ask you to lift them up to the Lord in love and faith.

I will keep you updated, as well.

"By Jesus' stripes, you are healed." I also believe in medical science, but sometimes prayer is the only way someone will be healed. I was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago; I take my shots, but if any of the "bretheren" out there think for one minute that I am not in prayer about a permanent healing for this condition, think again. The day I leave this earth, I will not be a diabetic; you heard it here first! God is good, all the time!!!
