Also, the History Channel did a show on how important it was for the national psyche for the people of Germany and Japan to have national trials in which innocent civilians could participate. It was a way to reconcile and get over the trauma of living under such murderous regimes.

Very true...this is important for the Iraqis. Also very important for the coalition that removed him & politically important for Bush, Blair, et al...
