Capture of Saddam Shows True Evil of Liberal Media and Politicians
self | 12/14/03 | self

Posted on 12/14/2003 11:59:27 AM PST by thesummerwind

I was suggesting to another freeper earlier that - somebody ought to start a thread to compile all examples today of disgusting, evil liberal spinning on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, etc. It was disgusting from the very beginning of the news of the capture.

An example stated on NewsMax; "Time Magazine columnist Joe Klein suggested that another 9/11 attack could revitalize Democrat hopes of defeating Bush next November. "This election, more than any other I've covered, is out of the hands of the politicians and in the hands of the events that take place in the world," he noted. "All it would take, God forbid, would be one [domestic terrorist attack] - not even on the level of the World Trade Center. You know, say they take out an elementary school or a movie theater or a shopping mall. "That could change everything," Klein predicted.

Klein was almost outrightly asking for something awful to happen, just for the Democrats' benefit. Somebody start a thread where any freeper who witnessed this stuff, writes it down. It was pathetic!! It would make a very illuminating thread!

..........

So now, I decided to start it myself. I was up this morning even before I posted third on the first thread on the capture, "Saddam Hussein Captured." And since then, I have heard and seen numerous lefty reporters and politicians say the most disgusting things in order to diminish the troops' success, the possible success of the Administration, and, at the same time, to try to boost their evil intent.

Here is hoping that every freeper who witnessed an outrageous, nasty comment today, would please include it here. If we collect all their comments in one place, it may serve to clearly illustrate their real damaging desires, and their outright evil . Thanks for any help.

"Someone on another thread said that l'il Aaron was concerned that Saddam's dignity had been taken from him. Can you believe that sh!t?!"

Oh BARF...only in utter desperation will I ever turn to cnn for news. I've seen aaron brown exactly once...and the only response I can think of is that aaron must have been empathizing...one dignity challenged POS to another POS.

I happen to think that stripping SH of any & all dignity was precisely the point in capturing him alive. In fact, I don't think the capture could hardly have been scripted any more perfectly...we literally dragged him out of a hole in the ground. Only way it could have been tweaked is if a rock had been covering the hole---but that cheap chunk of styrofoam was something of a statement too, making crawling out from under a rock seem like a lofty ambition by comparison.

What really stood out is that it took such a small amount of time for the networks to go negative

Yeh, it was instantaneous. Kerry on FoxNews couldn't get a full sentence out without going to his sick talking points. What a loser. To think I knew his wife pretty well when she was Mrs. John Heinz. She was fine then.

But you're right, they had those *hitty, negative responses already in the bag.

"Can you imagine what Bill Clinton would be doing?"

Mobilizing for a hole-side press conference?

I was just listening to NPR's special program;they had their reporter Ann Garrels, commenting, it was unbelievable to listen to her spew a vitriolic diatribe against the US military, the Bush administration, and everything going on in Iraq, which she described as "total anarchy".

Obviously, the capture of her hero has unhinged her (small, leftist) mind!

Here's how to create fast links- and, this works with any webpage or site, not just Free Republic...

1- keep your browser open on the page you wish to link, open Outlook Express, and "create new mail." ( One caveat- OE has to have a tab punched which enables that new mail to show a toolbar on its bottom with "edit, source, preview" showing. You may have to poke around the upper toolbar, but somewhere among its choices is a tab that switches on the bottom 3-tab bar in new mail.

2- hilite, copy and paste the URL in your browser "address" box over to the new mail, go back and hilite, copy & paste the title, and any other info you want. Do this as many times as you like.

3- when ready to post, punching the "source" tab in the email reveals the html inside it- simply copy & paste that to where you need it.

This usually works with pictures, too- it can be quirky, so always preview with graphics, tables, and the like.

Lucky that the troops dug Saddam up before he sprouted. Once he took root and went to seed, Sadam weeds could have covered Iraq, like Kudzu covers Dixie.

The capture of Sadam, should be viewed by the world as one of the best Christmas presents the USA has ever given. But it won't be, of course.

Tomorrow's liberal papers will be good candidates for this thread. I even heard (I think it was Kerry) one Dem. this morning say Bush should have caught Saddam earlier. Jesus...

"Bush had better not gloat..."

The unmitigated gall of CNN amazes me! Chastising the President of the United States like they are school marms and he is an errant school boy! As if they have any credibility in the Bush administration at all!

They are ALL pieces of excrement to me, and they have once again shown their true colors -- The Communist News Network at its finest!

"You know, say they take out an elementary school or a movie theater or a shopping mall. "That could change everything," Klein predicted."

This is disgusting. Klein was engaging in two things. Wishful thinking, and offering the enemy of America his personal strategy.

Senator Rockheadfeller quoted by AP:

"----Sen. John Rockefeller (news, bio, voting record) of West Virginia, the senior Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in a statement that the circumstances of Saddam's capture in a hole in the ground showed that he was "not managing the insurgency, and that he had very little control or influence," indicating that the attackers were not fighting for him, but against the United States."

CBS cut off coverage of Bush's speech right in the middle. At first it went to an empty football field and then back to Dan Rather who fumbled for a minute or two - himself even, apparently, realizing how pathetic their actions were, before going back to the 2nd half of Bush's speech.

There are no doubt some collaborators of his (countries & companies) that would like to see him dead to keep him from talking

----- most likely about 50 or so assorted agents getting ready in four or five countries to stop Saddam's nasty breath.
