Becker had Jaime Pressly as a guest star. As far as I'm concerned, it can run forever if it makes her a regular. :-)

It is unfortunate to see Ted Danson out of work..Wait a minute! Libs like Ted don't usually roll out of bed until noon anyway so he and his beautiful wife Mary can Catch up on some much needed downtime..
To: Kieri
When this show first started, I thought it was quite entertaining, but lately it has made very loud sucking sounds. Bye bye Dr. Becker!

Becker, for those of you who forgot, is the show that featured the anti- tax cut diatribe last week.

Teddy Boy is a first class enviral whacko watermelon and typical Follywood Rat.
He will find jobs hard to come by. So expect to see him being very active on the Hate Bush circuit. That helps to self his old tv shows in Eurotrash land.

Becker had Jaime Pressly as a guest star. As far as I'm concerned, it can run forever if it makes her a regular. :-)One of the original cast members was Terry Farrel, who played Dax on Deep Space 9. She was quite the babe! I really miss her.
I don't really care about either show: I just liked watching her.

Not to worry about Ted & Mary. At least Mary is still working. :) She's got a regular role on some new sitcom called Joan of Arcadia. So, Ted can sleep in peacefully, knowing the lil wife is out earnin' the bread for him.
To: Kieri
Now teddy will have more time to save the oceans.
To: Wizard of AZ
Couldn't happen to a "nicer" guy. Anyway, this will give Danson more time to save the world.

So how did they squeeze an anti-tax diatribe into that show? Hadn't heard that one.

Anti- tax cut. They tried to show the alleged victims of a tax cut (mentally ill who had their hospital shut down). One of the guest characters managed to squeeze a few anti-tax lines in.
To: FrogMom
It doesn't mention Threat Matrix.I really hope TM makes it to season 2. I like it a lot.
OTOH, I'm glad Becker is getting it in the neck. I can't believe that garbage stuck around long enough to be syndicated...

At least Mary is still working. :) She's got a regular role on some new sitcom called Joan of Arcadia. Joan of Arcadia is hardly a sitcom. It is a one hour drama, not too disimilar in tone from Touched By An Angel. In this case God has chosen to appear (always in the form of some new person, such as a repairman or substitute teacher) to a teenaged girl in this small town. Her dad is the new honest chief of police (all the other politicians turn out to be corrupt) while her mom is one of the mid level admins in her high school. She has an uber nerd younger brother and an older brother confined to a wheel chair after a recent car accident. Each week God gives her some seemingly unrelated task to perform (try out for cheerleader, build a boat, get your drivers license) that turns out to spark some major changes in the lives around her. So far they are treating the scenario and particular topics with respect and, I think, alot of good will.
Give Mary a break. Maybe she's a person of good will who is just incredibly naive. I like the show, at least.

L.A. Dragnet was good the first season, this year it went PC and tanked.
I really hope they don't cancel 10-8, quite a good show.

It doesn't mention Threat Matrix. But it should! This is one of the most entertaining shows in the last few years, came out of nowhere and is among our top 3 "not miss" new programs. The others are MI-5, Joan of Arcadia. Everwood, I think is from last year and also a must see for us.
Does anyone know how to contact the doofuses who want to kill the few decent programs for normal people?
Help!
Monk, John Doe, Dead Zone, all seem to have been shoved aside, and they were rays of light in an otherwise bleak TV landscape. The only other program sure to return (I hope) is Stargate SG-1 (I think).
Thanks.

She's got a regular role on some new sitcom called Joan of Arcadia. You must not have actually watched it.
I would characterize it more as drama with some comedic facets, and one of the few shows that generate a compulsion to think.
It can be viewed a preachy in spots, but is usually 100% entertaining, and always thought-provoking.
The touch of humor it does have is perfectly timed. We love it.

OK, slightly off topic, but still entertainment/Hollywood related, why the hell didn't somebody tell me that Alec Baldwin was in "Cat in the Hat"! I don't watch much TV, so I hadn't seen the ads, but made a family night out to take son to see the flick last night.
Geez, you'd think they could manage to deliver Dr Seuss without it being controversial to half the country, but no.
For the record, I stayed the course and sat through the whole thing. It ain't my son's fault that Baldwin is an A-hole, and he was looking forward to the evening.
Also, Baldwin aside, that movie was criminally bad. You know how some kids' movies are entertaining (or at least tolerable) on an adult level? This ain't one of em. Imagine a full-length Teletubbies movie.
To: Kieri
perhaps he should have done his terribly clever and topical "blackface" routine... THAT would bump up his ratings

Very much agree with comments re:
Joan of Arcadia.
I caught it one Friday evening by accident, and haven't missed it since, other than last night when I sacrificed for family night out for Cat in the Hat. See my previous post on this thread. One more reason to despise Baldwin...
