[history]
December 6, 2003 -- Struggling 2004 Democratic wannabe John Kerry fires an X-rated attack at President Bush over Iraq and uses the f-word - highly unusual language for a presidential contender - in a stunning new interview with Rolling Stone magazine. Sen. Kerry (Mass.) used the undeleted expletive to express his frustration and anger over how the Iraq issue has hurt him because he voted for the war resolution while Democratic front-runner Howard Dean has soared by opposing it.

Sometimes they're angry because of a bad self-concept, which may be richly deserved. The pain of self-contempt is transmuted into anger, which is easier to accept than an admission of the conviction that one is in fact a miserable, contemptable wretch. In other words, the anger is misdirected self-contempt.Envy and resentment are probably at the top of the list. A national party must of necessity be a broad coalition, but resentment probably comes closer to being a common denominator for the dems than any other single factor.

"I originally thought Kerry had a lock on the Democratic nomination."
Yeah, the thing is, so did he. Now he gives a perfect example of one who "can't stand the heat". It's time for him to get out of the kitchen. The man is a pompous ass. And I can't think of any president, at least not since FDR, that would be accurately described as a pompous ass.
The man is a fool, I'm personally hoping he drops out before Sharpton. That's what I'd like to see, Mo Howard Dean and Rev. Al at the convention.

You'll have to start pinging the host of C-SPAN's Washington Journal. A few minutes ago a fellow called in and asked host Connie Brod (she has a new married name, I believe) why she had not brought up Kerry's "F" word? After all, the caller continued, she has 16 newspapers in front of her and he had seen Kerry say it on TV. My guess is that one of the interns at C-SPAN will get the NYP story to her before the morning is over. I hope so, anyway.

lead, you are right. But how awful it is that we, in the good old US of A are being subjected to this cult of personality that is the Clintons? Who died and made her Madam Kim Jong ILL?
I don't think she's got the nerve to go for it. Not this time. But I could be wrong, it's happened before. I had to pay $25 to my 14 year old daughter (a natural born pol that kid is) who had NO DOUBT that Hillary! would win in NY State.
My sworn promise, I will personally lead a voter registration drive amoung men, and I will canvass every bar, tavern and saloon in my town, I will register men who have never voted, or who haven't voted in a long time, and I will register them and marshall them to vote against Hillary!
I see myself leading a great parade of voters, a la "Liberte" as you see her in French patriotic art. All for the defeat of that witch.

I have been waiting for the inevitable Dean blow up and implosion. But this raises a new issue: what if ALL the democrats blow up?Some, alas, are inherently immune to any/all substantial criticism, by dint of their racial background.
"Fat" Albert Sharpton, recall, helped perpetuate the Tawana Brawley deception, and was morally culpable in the gruesome deaths of seven blameless, unsuspecting New Yorkers (i.e., the infamous "Freddie's Fashion Mart" slaughter). Hear anyone asking any genuinely "uncomfortable" or "difficult" questions of him, lately...?

I agree with your statement regarding Democratic desperation 100%. I can't recall such outright hate and vitriol so early in the campaign season, ever. I'm afraid it's also going to get worse, much, much worse...
In a way, the antics of the Democratic Party can be considered humorous; the foaming at the mouth, the nonsensical spittle filled diatribes, etc. OTOH however, I'm beginning to get a belly full of it... We've got over 10 more months of this and if anyone thinks the Democratic deseperation tactics can't or won't get worse, well they're delusional... We ain't seen nothing yet...

And sometime this basic, free-floating
anger finds expression in sadism.
Sadism is a big component of "activism" and the "Liberal" mindset. Resentment, envy, righteous indignation--all are frequent manifestations of deep-seated, free-floating anger, often misdirected self-contempt--and all can find expression or release in sadism.

The reason that we still have to contend with the Clintonistas is twofold: One, they have retained control over the Democratic National Comittee, and thus the Party, through their handpuppet, McAuliuffe; and Two, both of the swine are appparently quite lucrative fundraisers for them.
Consider this: the control that the Clintons excercise over the Dim Party Machine is now threatened. If the nominee is Howard-the-Duck Dean, it would effectively break their hold on the process. Originally, they had hoped that their sock puppet would be Ketchup Kerry, but he is obviously imploding quite spectacularly. The Clintons, savvy pols to the end, realized this months ago, or at least saw the possibility. Thus, Sock Puppet #2, Wesley Crusher Clark.
In their eight years at the wheel of government, the Clintons built a massive self-serving political machine for themselves. It will endure for at least a generation, as it is centered not only in the political field but the entertainment one as well (does the name Streisand ring a bell?). You are right to act against them.
It's ironic, really...the Dims consider the Clintons their "best hope", but the reality is so different: They caused the GOP takeover of congress, and few if any candidates shilled for by them, outside of solidly Leftist areas, ever win. Their abilities as workers for fellow Dims are greatly exaggerated, mostly I'm sure, by themselves.

Kerry yesterday angrily cited his war record in Vietnam when asked by a New Hampshire student about charges that it's unpatriotic to attack the commander-in-chief, fuming: "I left some blood on a battlefield". Two words: Benedict Arnold.

When Kerry rode a motorcycle onstage on Leno he became silly. With his cussing, he's become an embarassment.I think that you are correct, although the Rolling Stone demographic is probably not going to allow themselves the same perception. Vietnam hero emeritus, Iowa pheasant hunter, Tonight Show biker, Rolling Stone ranter... you never know what he's going to dress up as next, but each new role seems to find him chewing on more of the scenery.

With the Clintons starting up America Coming Together, I expect that the only things left in the DNC headquarters by the time Dean takes over will be one office chair with a broken spring, a desk that needs one leg shimmed up and a rotary phone.

Stephen Hess is so right. This was so unnecessary. Men with presidential timbre in them treat their own thoughts seriously, as well as have some consideration for others.
I don't care if a man say "f*#k". I do care when he does it for effect. John said "f*%k" in Rolling Stone because he thought it was a bitchin' thing to do in a "Youth" magazine. What a damn fool.

To: clee1
Agreed. Kerry should have a nice cup of STFU. This "courageous" use of the F-word is a sign of desperation by Kerry, and I've no doubt it was preceded by some kind of poll or at least estimate of how many Americans use the F-word.
To: MEG33
He actually did well ,then came home and joined vets against the war and trashed the war.His attitude after the war is what sticks in my head. You are absolutely correct. This guy had political ambitions from the get-go. He saw the anti-war movement as his ticket to visibility and fame. Kerry had the best of both worlds--a decorated combat veteran and the espousement of what was an increasingly popular view about the war. Pretty heady stuff for a LT to be testifying before Congress and have extensive media coverage including his tossing his (read others) medals away.
Ironically, Kerry now trumpets his Vietnam service because it is politically expedient to do so. As a Vietnam vet myself, I find this guy despicable. His latest position(s) on the Iraq War fit the pattern of trying to have it both ways. He wants to be Panderer-in-Chief. God help us.

One of the most dissatisfying character traits of Senator Kerry is his propensity to demean anyone who did not serve in the military. As one who did, I find his constant reference to service in Viet Nam both grating and unnecessary. I can't think of a single American politician who, 30 years after the end of World War II, or the Korean conflict, argued that his service in wartime was reason he should be elected to anything.

I do not know if this particular story ever made it nationally, but the Heinz-Kerry residence on the Beacon Hill section of Boston is a very wealthy neighborhood. It is very close to the Massachusetts State House, and ironically, many years ago, it was considered to be a not so elegant area. (read black neighborhood.)
Well things have changed up there on the hill, and J F Kerry lives close to where John F. Kennedy moved to when he needed to take up residence, in order to run for the Congress back in the late 40's. Remember when Congress persons had to actually live in their districts? (Hello Ed Markey dean of the Massachusetts delegation you piece of lying crap.)
A few years ago, Heinz-Kerry actually had a fire hydrant moved from in front of their home, in order that they could get a legal parking spot without having to walk around the corner. They paid a construction crew thousand of dollars to move said fire hydrant. I seriously find that to be incredible. It is true though.
This is the mentality of these so-called high brows. The rules do not apply to them, and they pander to every group that is dumb enough, or selfish enough to even give them the smallest semblance of credibility.
Kerry, is a shameless hack, who outside of his military experience, has never done a day of work in his life. He has no scruples, and he will say absolutely anything. I believe that he has been exposed now as a true fraud, and even his own constituents who voted him into Office repeatedly, are taking a good hard look at this hypocrite.
It is a very refreshing thing for me personally to behold.
